"Next, please disembark in order, starting with Class A. Also, phones are strictly forbidden on the island. Please hand yours to your homeroom teacher and disembark in an orderly fashion."
A teacher directed the students from every class over a loudspeaker, while several others waited on either side, carefully inspecting the students' luggage.
"The school's being pretty cautious. They didn't even take our phones during the Final Exam," Kanzaki Ryuji said quietly after handing his over.
"Yeah, they're strict about what personal belongings we're allowed to bring, too." Hamaguchi Tetsuya looked troubled. The preparations he'd made earlier were completely useless now.
After Class A's students had been inspected, they made their way down the gangplank to the temporary dock on the beach.
"Let's take attendance!" Hoshinomiya Chie, also dressed in a tracksuit, came to the front of the line, took out her clipboard, and began calling the roll.
Once all four classes had gathered on the beach, Hoshinomiya-sensei took a microphone and walked up to the makeshift podium in front of them.
"Good morning, everyone~ I'm sure a lot of you don't know me, but from today on, you'd better remember me! I'm Class A's homeroom teacher, Hoshinomiya-sensei." Hoshinomiya Chie launched into her energetic self-introduction.
Class A was already used to Hoshinomiya's style, but the students from the other classes were hearing her speak for the first time. As one of the two female homeroom teachers for the first-years, she made a much better impression than the other one, who was like an ice queen.
"Every class has finished taking attendance. Let's see... It's a shame, but one student can't join us in living happily ever after on the island because of health reasons." Hoshinomiya Chie checked the attendance records for each class.
