Monthly Summary, Participating in the Second-Year Struggle

The matter of joining the Student Council finally ended with Horikita Manabu choosing to accept my alternative proposal.

I dumped Manabe Shiho into the Student Council to serve as a member of the Public Morals Committee; it was the perfect opportunity for her to take the delinquent girls from Class C and learn how to properly lord over others while staying within the rules.

Just like how a corrupt officer might accept a bribe from a shopkeeper who frames the money as a gift for the officer's child, the system is full of legitimate excuses—you just have to learn how to use them.

On the first day of May, personal points were deposited into the accounts of every student in Class C right on schedule.

Before classes began, everyone lined up in the classroom to hand over this month's points.

Class C performed quite well this month, retaining 880 class points. After leaving each of them with 3,000 personal points for emergencies, I collected a total of 3.315 million personal points, bringing my total to 3.403 million including my own.

Last month, I collected a total of 3.5 million personal points from the class, part of which came from the initial 80,000 points per person, with more collected thereafter.

I took 2.9 million personal points from Class D, and I can take another 900,000 this month.

I obtained 2.2 million points from Class A and Class B for information, and 5.5 million personal points from the gullible club members who signed up to attend my lectures.

My own club has a budget of 350,000 personal points combined from last month and this month, but this portion cannot be counted toward the point-farming operation, as it is needed to support the other students in the class.

After deducting the 100,000 points I paid to the Chairman at the start of the semester, the balance on my card is now 18.303 million.

Even after devouring the start-of-semester bonuses, I've only managed to scrape together this much; this goal of 800 million points is truly daunting.

Sakagami, our homeroom teacher, stood to the side holding a folder, waiting for his students to finish handing over their points before instructing everyone to return to their seats to begin the homeroom session.

Sakagami spread out the documents in his hand.

Class A: 960 points; Class B: 920 points; Class C: 880 points; Class D: 520 points. There are 3,280 points remaining for the first year in total, which translates to 13.12 million personal points per month.

As Sakagami said, Class D is truly hopeless; even with intelligence, they still managed to lose nearly half their points.

Of course, it is also possible that they had already lost that many points before obtaining the information, and 520 is simply the result of their hard work—that is the true value of hitting rock bottom!

In the second document Sakagami released, I ranked last with a score of 0, and Ryuen ranked second to last with 13 points. Aside from the two of us, the lowest score among the other students was over 50.

Undoubtedly, after a period of remedial lessons, the students in the class whose entrance scores were unwatchable have made some progress; at the very least, they can now answer most of the easy questions.

The struggle between the two vice-presidents of Class A and Class B in the second year has entered the final stage. It is no exaggeration to say that the outcome of this decisive battle will determine the general candidate for the next Student Council President and could even lead to the expulsion of multiple second-year students.

Since the classes in the first year have raised their guard against us, we will set our sights on the second year.

It is indeed difficult to deal with the first-year classes now, and in the short term, only Class A can still be squeezed for a significant amount of points.

Class D's points for the first month were completely drained, and in the second month, they have to repay their loans to Class B and their debts to us, so there won't be much left.

Class B's points for the first month should also be considered drained after deducting daily expenses and the points lent to Class D. What they have on hand now should be a portion of the loan repayments and the newly arrived points; it's not worth putting in a great deal of effort to snatch them, as I'm still counting on getting money from Class B through legitimate means.

Class A is not easy to move against in the short term. I'll leave the class that has already formed two warring factions to Ryuen to solve; he can keep Katsuragi under his thumb, and I will keep Sakayanagi in check.

The best opportunity to obtain a large amount of points right now is to get involved in the battle of the second years.

My initial perspective was still a bit flawed, as I had preconceived notions based on the chips Nagumo held later on, leading me to conclude he didn't have many points left.

In reality, that is not the case at all. According to the information I have gathered over this month, the points currently held by the second years are truly substantial.

In the original work, Nagumo didn't have many points left likely because he spent all the points he had accumulated during his first year on this decisive battle. Later, after unifying the grade, he didn't keep too many points in reserve because he had to divide the cake; he only needed to keep enough to save someone once.

Taking a portion of the points from the second years is the most important thing we need to do this month.
