This Uchiha Is Very Senju

As the group marched, most of the thousand soldiers under Tsunade's command belonged to the Senju Clan. The fact that Uchiha Kō, a member of the Uchiha Clan, was following behind Lady Tsunade left the Senju somewhat disgruntled.

"Lady Tsunade, I can scout without a single casualty. Not one of our men will be harmed," Uchiha Kō said calmly. He felt he needed to show what he could do; otherwise, who knew what these Senju would say about him?

He didn't care what they thought of him, but he couldn't let Lady Tsunade's reputation suffer!

Tsunade turned to look at Uchiha Kō, curious about how he could make such a claim. Scouting without casualties was beyond even the most experienced scouts.

Long Yi, however, let out a cold snort first. "You little brat from the Uchiha Clan, it's not that I don't trust you, but have you ever been on a battlefield? Do you even know what scouting is?"

"A scout can be captured if he lets his guard down for even a moment. Once captured, he'll wish he were dead. So when you say you can scout without getting hurt, aren't you just trying to fool everyone?" Long Yi said coldly.

He hadn't expected this Uchiha brat to be such a braggart. He really couldn't imagine what Lady Mito saw in him!

Uchiha Kō shook his head, then covered his left eye with his hand and opened his right palm. Sand gathered in it, eventually forming an eyeball.

Only then did Uchiha Kō speak. "Magnet Release: True Sight Eye." The eyeball slowly rose from his hand, then circled Long Yi once.

Tsunade's mouth fell open, and even Long Yi's eyes widened. Ten kilometers might not sound like much, but for shinobi, if they could detect something that far away and report it in real time, their army would be virtually unbeatable!

Senju Long Yi sucked in a sharp breath. After giving Uchiha Kō a long look, he bowed. "I'm sorry, Kō. I apologize for my ignorance. Please forgive me!"

Uchiha Kō hurriedly helped Long Yi up. "Big Brother Long Yi was only thinking of the safety of our unit. Besides, you can't blame someone for not knowing. I might even have to rely on you to protect me on the battlefield later!"

"Good. Long Yi, I'll leave it to you. Kō, report immediately if you spot anything!" Tsunade said with a smile.

"No problem!" they both replied. The speakers were Uchiha Kō and Long Yi.

Then they crossed the border and entered the battlefield. What could be said about the Land of Rain? It rained there constantly, and the farther in they went, the harder it poured. It was nothing like the Land of Fire, with its gentle sunshine and pleasant scenery.

After about an hour, Uchiha Kō suddenly said, "Stop!"

Every shinobi halted at once and drew their Kunai and Shuriken, taking up battle stances as they stared ahead with resolute expressions.

Tsunade did the same. Without turning around, she looked at Uchiha Kō. "Kō, what's going on?"

Uchiha Kō said coldly, "Ten kilometers ahead, there are two hundred elite Rain shinobi, twenty jōnin, fifty Chunin, and more than a hundred Genin. They're heading toward us."

Long Yi scoffed. "They're just a small unit. What do we have to fear?"

Tsunade nodded, but then Uchiha Kō spoke up. "Lady Tsunade, I suggest we move left and avoid them for now. They're carrying gas canisters. I suspect they contain Salamander Hanzō's signature poison, and they're all wearing gas masks!"

Tsunade's expression changed. "Everyone, move left and withdraw quickly. Keep your movements to a minimum, and make sure to erase our tracks!" In just ten minutes, Tsunade and the others had climbed the hill to their left and were looking back toward the way they had come.

When the Rain shinobi reached the spot where Tsunade's unit had been, they looked confused. Weren't they told a unit had come through? How come there wasn't a single person here?

After seeing the gas canisters in their hands, Tsunade couldn't help feeling relieved. She wasn't afraid of them, but that didn't mean her subordinates were safe from them!

"Kō, why didn't we go to the right? The view would've been clearer there. Now that we've climbed the hill, how are we supposed to get down?" Tsunade asked with a frown.

Uchiha Kō smiled. "Because there's a fat yellow bird waiting on the right!"

As soon as he finished speaking, a force of shinobi suddenly appeared on the spot they had been watching from the hill.

"Earth Release: Headhunter Jutsu!"

"Earth Release: Swamp of the Underworld!"

"Earth Release: Earth Mausoleum Dumpling!"
