Background / History
Uchiha Kō was initially regarded as the dead-last of his academy class and a disgrace within the Uchiha clan. He awakened a One-Tomoe Sharingan at eighteen and collapsed from the strain; Tsunade took him to the Senju ancestral home after recalling that he was bullied by fellow Uchiha. 1
He is the grandson of Uchiha Izuna, grand-nephew of Uchiha Madara, and descendant of Uchiha Tajima. Sarutobi Hiruzen's intelligence records identify his father as Uchiha Donpu. 29 120 His lineage later becomes central to his relationship with Madara and Izuna, both of whom recognize him as family after he resurrects Izuna. 170 196
During the Land of Rain conflict, Kō became Tsunade's trusted aide and demonstrated the strategic aptitude that raised his status among Konoha's forces. 6 38 His victory over Uchiha Kiyoshi ended the clan's open contempt for him and established his reputation as a prodigy. 16 17
Appearance
Kō is described as strongly resembling Uchiha Madara, with an elegant, calculating temperament likened to Uchiha Izuna's. His face is said to be roughly seventy percent similar to Madara's. 28 173
- Blood-red Sharingan eyes when activated, progressing through multiple forms. 12 16 196
- Often carries a folding fan in later years. 358
- Wears golden Warring States armor commissioned by Senju Tobirama for combat. 391
- His golden armor and Susanoo are noted for their intimidating presence. 391
Personality
Kō is pragmatic, politically perceptive, and highly conscious of long-term consequences. He sought control of the Konoha Military Police Force not merely for authority, but to reform its public image and prevent the Uchiha from becoming isolated from the village. 29 He frames the Uchiha's early support of Sarutobi Hiruzen as a strategic investment rather than submission. 29 30
Although capable of ruthlessness, he repeatedly prioritizes unity over personal advancement. He declines Izuna's final trial for the Uchiha clan-head position because replacing Hirotomo would harm clan cohesion. 179 He also credits allies for achievements, avoids claiming undeserved glory, and earns Sarutobi's approval through this restraint. 38
Kō is protective toward those close to him, particularly Tsunade and their daughter Uchiha Rou. He kills the Land of Earth's Daimyō's eldest son after the man disrespects Tsunade, and later threatens Otsutsuki Hagoromo until he leaves Rou's body. 277 533 Despite his power, he is affected deeply by the loyalty of Konoha's people and by Uchiha Hirotomo's eventual departure. 621 626

Combat and Martial Arts
