Growing Stronger—All Is Ready, the Day of Killing

Target: Wang Ya Age: 14 Spiritual Power: 6.6 (6.1+0.5) Physique: 5.2 Particle Energy: 1.3 units Wizard Meditation Method: Vast Sea (Basic) Supernatural Nurtured Creature: Harak (Low-level)

A flicker of delight flashed through Wang Ya's eyes. The Spiritual Power increase brought by the second Wizard Rune had actually surpassed that of the first.

It seemed the difficulty of Wizard Runes was closely linked to the increase in Spiritual Power.

For no reason, he thought of the different ranks of Wizard Meditation Methods.

The Vast Sea Meditation Method was currently only at the basic level. Beyond it came Advanced Meditation Methods and High-level Meditation Methods, corresponding to First-level through Third-level Wizard Apprentices. Different Wizard Meditation Methods possessed different characteristics and increased Spiritual Power to different degrees, in both quality and quantity.

"Official Wizards are the stepping stone to pursuing Truth and setting foot upon the Wizard path." Words spoken by the Deep Blue Grand Wizard in the Primeval Era seemed far too exaggerated to Wizards of the present age.

The upper echelons of the various Grand Wizard Forces were made up of Official Wizards, standing at the pinnacle of the Pyramid.

What Wang Ya regretted was probably nothing more than his mediocre aptitude.

With the same Meditation Method, those with Top Aptitude always gained considerably more Spiritual Power.

The Eye of Truth could make up for this shortcoming.

Wang Ya washed his face in the washroom. When he came out, his face was brimming with vigor.

What came next was the most crucial aspect.

Notice: Scanning bodily conditions and calculating the magnitude of Natural Particle Energy drawn by Spiritual Power.

The stronger one's Spiritual Power, the more Natural Particle Energy it could influence.

Powerful Wizards could even cast vast, formidable Wizardry without consuming the Particle Energy within their bodies.

Wang Ya, who had not even crossed the threshold of a First-level Wizard Apprentice, naturally could not achieve such a feat.

He could barely absorb a tiny portion of Natural Particle Energy into his body.

Throughout this process, his physical body was also strengthened through radiation.

After roughly ten minutes, Wang Ya learned the precise radiation magnitude.

"The human body is far too fragile. The Wizard's path to transcendence is comprehensive beyond measure, from spirit to flesh. This is the evolution and leap of cells."

When a streak of early morning radiance pierced through the heavy clouds, the ink-wash canvas finally gained a new color.

Wang Ya opened his eyes. His aura had grown stronger, and the strength of his body had visibly improved and increased.

Notice: Physique increased by 0.3. Current Physique: 5.5.

His Phalanx Bones gave off faint cracking sounds as his muscles continuously tensed.

When he threw a punch, the sense of power culminated directly in the sound wave it stirred up.

He pushed open the door. Sunlight streaming through the window stretched his shadow ever longer.

The figures in the Automated Restaurant were scattered about. Compared to before, the place was much more desolate.

No one thought about the Wizard Exchange Meeting of old. They silently ate the standard portions of food distributed by the Wizard Ship's main control system. Everything had become the past.

He still sat in his old corner seat. On the table were stockpiled white bread, mayonnaise, and Sea Beast meat he had hunted himself.

Wang Ya ate quickly, yet earnestly. Bite by bite, he tore into the meat and swallowed it into his stomach, where his powerful digestive ability transformed it into energy to nourish his entire body.

The radiative effects of Particle Energy consumed a vast amount of Life Energy. A certain number of cells would inevitably die, but after metabolism, the newly born cells would become even stronger under the influence of Particle Energy.

Strangely, Wang Ya did not see Gray in the restaurant for a meal.

Surely he had not fallen so low that he could not catch any food and had nothing to eat? Judging by his physical fitness and Particle Energy intensity, Gray was among the first tier of Wizard Freshmen present.

Wang Ya did not dwell on it. Suddenly, a gaze settled on him, carrying concealed malice.

When Wang Ya looked over, the hooded figure in the corner lowered his head as well.

The dramatic part was that at this time in the past, during the Wizard Exchange Meetings, he had always been the center of the crowd.

Now, apart from the sounds of chewing and tableware moving, the Automated Restaurant was utterly silent, with a desolation so deep it had become oppressive.

Wang Ya's expression remained calm, unaffected by Arthur's gaze.

Perhaps today, or perhaps tomorrow, there would be one fewer freshman aboard this Wizard Ship.

The vast Endless Sea held too many unknown secrets, as well as countless Sea Beasts and species.

Supernatural Lifeforms could appear and attack during a freshman's hunt, causing them to be buried beneath the sea.

That reason was only secondary. More importantly, it was a matter of attitude.

Wizard Tuta had made the rules, and he himself would abide by them.

I saw him. That piece of trash, still wearing that hateful dull expression. Acting so self-righteous. Kill him, kill him!

Arthur kept his head lowered. His black Robe and hood nearly covered the entire table. Shrouded in shadow, his mouth was stuffed full of Sea Beast meat.

His bloodshot pupils, twisted expression, and teeth clamped tightly around the food as he chewed—it was as though he were crushing Wang Ya's heart between them.

No third person can know about Anna and me. These people cannot be allowed to find out. Wang Ya must die. He must!

He swallowed forcefully, veins bulging on his neck. His lone right arm hung at his side, its Fingernails digging Into Flesh.

The killing intent in Arthur's bloodshot eyes, ringed with heavy dark circles, had driven him hysterical for an entire night.

I can kill Wang Ya. It would be effortless. He's just a piece of trash who chose the Supernatural Nurturing Department. I have Top Aptitude. I can do it. My status is the highest—I'll crush this cockroach.

I also have a Wizard Legacy. The new Particle Energy Wizardry scroll is already in my hands. All I need to do is enter the sea, catch up to him, and kill him outright.

Wang Ya finished eating and left.

Arthur remained seated, his mind still churning over the matter, reinforcing it to himself.

That hollow heart of his seemed capable of reaching the height of ecstasy through the anticipation of killing.

"I will always be the strongest."

Arthur stood up and roared.

Quite a few gazes in the Automated Restaurant converged on him, carrying traces of surprise.

"Is that Arthur? I heard his face was ruined and his limbs were mutilated. Looks like it's true."

"He wasn't like this before. How did he become like this?"

"I heard something went wrong with his mind. I'd say the rumors weren't wrong at all."

The Wizard Freshmen in the Automated Restaurant seemed to recall certain memories of the past and began whispering among themselves.

Arthur felt as though he were suffocating. The Automated Restaurant seemed to turn into hell, tormenting his body in agony.

He struggled out of the restaurant and returned to his room, slamming the door shut behind him.

With his back against the door, he panted heavily, the bloodshot veins in his eyes growing even more pronounced.

"They're all talking about me. They're all laughing at me. A bunch of Low-level Wizards—damn them. I have a Wizard Legacy, I have the strongest aptitude, I'm a genius, and I still hold the highest status."

His right hand Clenched the Red Metal Ring hanging within his chest lining, gripping it tightly as sweat poured from him.

Arthur's eyes were terrifyingly vicious and terrifyingly mad. "It must have been Wang Ya. He spread the news. He deserves to die—he deserves to die!"
