Cold Wind Wizard—or rather, Andersen, whose consciousness had descended to take his place—arrived on the bridge of the Crimson Academy's Lower-tier Battle Wizard Ship. Through a projection screen built with Wizard Technology, he surveyed Black Stone City.
He manipulated the display with practiced ease using his mind, and soon the towering mountains around Black Stone City appeared on the screen.
The Black Mountains rose ten thousand meters high. Pitch-black trees blocked the light from outside, while thin clouds and mist coiled around them, making them look even gloomier.
Andersen's lips curved slightly. He had found what he wanted, along with an unexpected bonus.
"The Wizards of Black Stone City were geniuses. They used the wizard array beneath the earth to absorb Natural Particle Energy while feeding it the souls of Wizards and other living beings, strengthening its cycle. Yet they never realized that every Black Mountain around them has its own distinct pattern and purpose."
"They've created thoughts tied to darkness. With those thoughts, I can use more of my methods and recover more of my strength."
The final key node was itself tied to Yin and Yang, bringing out the opposition between order and chaos.
As the catalyst for a change, Andersen had to give the Wizards of Black Stone City their due.
Andersen let his thoughts drift. Another viewpoint, another scene, surfaced in his eyes.
It showed several Wizard Bodies he had shaped through the Blood and Flesh Wizard Path over hundreds of years in the Frost Snow Land.
They could also be called living beings, each with a personality, consciousness, and ideals of its own.
At certain times, however, Andersen's consciousness would override theirs.
Whether he replaced them completely or merely used them for a while was entirely up to him.
For now, the override was temporary.
