Background / History
Tang San is the son of Tang Hao and Ah Yin, the latter a hundred-thousand-year Blue Silver Emperor who had taken human form. He is also a transmigrated soul who retained the cultivation methods and hidden-weapon knowledge of the Tang Sect; Ah Yin later cites these memories and skills as evidence that he may have possessed her original son 210 211.
He possesses Twin Martial Souls: Blue Silver Grass in his right hand and the Clear Sky Hammer in his left. Under Yu Xiaogang's guidance, Tang San initially prioritizes the Blue Silver Grass, hoping to develop it before adding soul rings to the Clear Sky Hammer 71 79.
Appearance
Tang San initially has an ordinary appearance and wears a belt set with twenty-four jade stones. In combat, his eyes turn purple through the Purple Demon Eye, while his hands take on a jade-like sheen when he uses the Mysterious Jade Hand 71 152.
- His Blue Silver Grass later becomes red-and-blue, marked by fine blood-red veins after gaining its devouring property 209.
- As a god, he wears dark-red armor covered in flowing blade-like demonic patterns; its killing aura creates the impression of a mountain of corpses and a sea of blood 351.
- His Clear Sky Hammer can melt and reform into the giant Asura Blood Sword after his ascension 351.
Personality
Tang San is exceptionally persistent and places immense faith in his own destiny. Repeated defeats and losses do not end his pursuit of power; instead, they drive him to seek harsher training, higher-age soul rings, god trials, and stronger hidden weapons 218 257 318.
His loyalty to Tang Hao, Yu Xiaogang, and Xiao Wu strongly shapes his decisions. Xiao Wu's injury provokes him into exposing his Clear Sky Hammer, while Tang Hao's death becomes the central source of his later vengeance against Tie Xiong 74 299.
He is also calculating in battle. He combines feigned weakness, hidden weapons, footwork, soul-bone skills, and Ring Detonation to create openings, though he repeatedly underestimates Tie Xiong's ability to counter his preparations 113 215 261 262.
Abilities & Skills
Twin Martial Souls
Tang San can wield both the Blue Silver Grass and the Clear Sky Hammer, though his initial cultivation path focuses on the former martial soul.
- Blue Silver Grass — Grants control skills including Blue Silver Entanglement, Parasite, and Spider Web Restraint 72 112.
- Devour — His Blue Silver Grass can consume life force and soul power from soul beasts; its red-veined form is associated with this ability 152 209.
- Bloodline loss — Ah Yin strips away the Blue Silver Emperor bloodline within his Blue Silver Grass, reducing him to level 49 and preventing that martial soul from progressing beyond level 50 212 257.
- Clear Sky Hammer — Becomes his primary martial soul after the loss of his Blue Silver Emperor bloodline 218 257.
Mysterious Heaven Skill
Tang San's inherited Tang Sect cultivation system is a complete meridian-based technique distinct from ordinary martial-soul meditation methods 210 302.
- Healing and recovery — Allows him to recover from internal injuries and restore combat effectiveness quickly 75.
- Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track / Shadow Tracking Step — High-speed footwork used to evade attacks and reposition in combat 73 261.
- Purple Demon Eye — Enhances visual perception, enabling him to track fine details and hidden weapons 74 152.
- Mysterious Jade Hand — Reinforces his hands for weapon use and forging 152 291.
- Eight Extraordinary Meridians — Opened through his accumulated high-age soul-ring power, greatly improving his capacity to endure soul-ring absorption 257.
Hammer Techniques
Tang San develops the Clear Sky Hammer into his principal offensive weapon.
- Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer — Learns to stack force through successive strikes; after waterfall training, he can execute eighty-one consecutive strikes 113.
- Great Sumeru Hammer — Condenses his bodily power into an overwhelming hammer strike 213 215.
- Ring Detonation — Detonates soul rings to amplify the Clear Sky Hammer at the cost of his future combat endurance 261 315.
- Weapon Soul Avatar — Merges the Clear Sky Hammer's avatar power into his attacks 261 315.
- Heaven-Soaring Strike — His eighth soul skill, which concentrates his soul power and Weapon Soul Avatar into a destructive hammer blow 315.
Hidden Weapons
Tang San relies on Tang Sect hidden weapons as both ranged attacks and assassination tools.
- Bone-Piercing Nails, Willow Leaf Blades, Locust Stones, Coin Darts, and Godly Zhuge Crossbow — Used during his first battle with Tie Xiong 74.
- Mother-Child Soul Chasing Life-Taking Ball — A powerful paired hidden weapon that he believes can threaten a Soul Saint 113.
- Bone-Melting Divine Needles — Hundreds of poison-coated needles intended to pierce defensive aura 113.
- Bodhi Blood — Condenses soul power into the user's own blood, creating nine explosive projectiles 215.
- Peacock Plume — A powerful mechanical hidden weapon forged after Tang Hao helps him obtain the necessary materials 258 291.
- Guanyin Tear — A technique he cannot perform because its bodily and Mysterious Heaven Skill requirements remain beyond him 261.
Domains and Divine Power
Tang San's divine path is tied to killing intent and the Clear Sky Hammer.
- Slaughter God's Domain — Used to suppress opponents, obscure perception, and reinforce his killing intent 212 218.
- Asura Domain — The evolved form of his Slaughter God's Domain, gained after passing the sixth God of Slaughter Trial 318.
- Asura Bloodline — Bestowed by the Asura God; it turns Tang San into a vessel suited to condensing killing intent and increases his speed and cultivation 312.
- Artifact of the God of Slaughter — His Clear Sky Hammer becomes infused with killing intent during the first God of Slaughter Trial 226 257.
- Asura Blood Sword — After becoming a god, he transforms the Clear Sky Hammer into a giant sword resembling the Asura Magic Sword 351.

- Evil Orca King Left Leg Bone — Hundred-thousand-year soul bone gained alongside his seventh soul ring 258.
- Asura Divine Armor — Dark-red divine armor manifested after inheriting the Asura God Position; Tang San detonates it to block Bibi Dong's attack 351 352.
Relationships

- Ah Yin — Mother and the source of his Blue Silver Emperor bloodline. She comes to believe he is possessed, strips his bloodline, and attempts to kill him 210 212.
- Yu Xiaogang — Teacher and father figure who guides Tang San's early Blue Silver Grass cultivation. His death intensifies Tang San's hatred for Tie Xiong and the Heaven Dou Empire 79 171.
- Xiao Wu — His sworn younger sister and closest early companion. Their bond collapses after she learns of Tang Hao's connection to soul beasts and leaves with Tie Xiong; Tang San later resolves to kill her while seeking the Asura Magic Sword 80 129 313.
- Tie Xiong — Primary enemy and rival. Their conflict begins at Shrek Academy, where Tang San intervenes to protect Dai Mubai, and becomes a blood feud involving Tang Hao, Ah Yin, Xiao Wu, and the Clear Sky Sect 72 113 210 299.
- Tang Xiao — Paternal uncle and Clear Sky Sect leader who supports Tang San after Tang Hao's death 122 299.

Story Role / Major Arcs
Shrek Academy Conflict
Tang San meets Tie Xiong at Shrek Academy while still a level 25 Soul Grand Master. After Tie Xiong brutally overwhelms Dai Mubai, Tang San intervenes with Blue Silver Entanglement and begins regarding him as an enemy 71 72.
When Tie Xiong injures Xiao Wu, Tang San attacks with his full hidden-weapon arsenal and reveals the Clear Sky Hammer. Tie Xiong defeats him nevertheless, forcing Tang San to confront the gap between his own strength and his rival's 74 75.
Tang Hao's Special Training
Tang Hao takes Tang San away after the Shrek conflict. Under a Clear Sky Sect method that suppresses and later releases soul power, Tang San strengthens his body, trains the Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer beneath a waterfall, and absorbs a 6,000-year third soul ring 79 103 108.
Upon returning to Shrek, he reaches level 38 and challenges Tie Xiong again. His Spider Web Restraint, poisons, hidden weapons, and Clear Sky Hammer stacking technique all fail to overcome Tie Xiong, who defeats him with three hammer strikes as repayment for Tang Hao's earlier ambush 112 113.
Blue Silver Forest and Loss of Bloodline
Tang San reaches level 50 after devouring the power of an Earth Cave Demon Spider and travels with Tang Hao to the Blue Silver Forest to awaken the Blue Silver Emperor 209.
Instead, they find Ah Yin allied with Tie Xiong. Ah Yin rejects Tang San as a possible possessing spirit, forcibly strips his Blue Silver Emperor bloodline, and regresses his cultivation to level 49 210 212. Tang San subsequently abandons the Blue Silver Grass path and devotes himself to the Clear Sky Hammer and the Slaughter God's Domain 217 218.
Pirate Crew and Battle at Sea
Tang San rapidly raises the Clear Sky Hammer through a sequence of high-age soul rings, joins the Purple Pearl Pirate Crew, and marries its captain, Purple Pearl 257 258.
After absorbing the 100,000-year Evil Orca King's soul ring, he confronts Tie Xiong with the confidence of a Soul Saint. Tie Xiong destroys the Purple Pearl Ship and kills the entire crew, including Purple Pearl, before defeating Tang San and driving him into the sea 261 262.
God Trials and War
After Tang Hao's death and the destruction of the Clear Sky Sect, Tang San commits himself to vengeance, godhood, and the strengthening of his Slaughter God's Domain 293 299.
He gains the Asura Bloodline, reaches Soul Douluo, and battles Xiao Wu, Zhu Zhuqing, Oscar, and Ma Hongjun for possession of the Asura Magic Sword. Their coordination forces him to use Ring Detonation and seek divine assistance 312 315.
Tang San passes the sixth God of Slaughter Trial, evolves his domain into the Asura Domain, completes the forging of the Clear Sky Hammer into a divine artifact, and ultimately inherits the Asura God Position 318 342 351.
Final Divine Battle and Death
As the newly ascended Asura God, Tang San fights Qian Renxue and Bibi Dong with the Asura Blood Sword. He sacrifices his Asura Divine Armor to withstand Bibi Dong's Rakshasa power while pressing his attack against Qian Renxue 351 352.
After the armor is destroyed, the Blood-Red Nine-Headed Bat King enters his body and possesses him. Its energy ravages Tang San internally, resulting in his death 354.
