Tony kicked the car door away, then put one arm around the female driver and pulled her out. Gunfire was already erupting outside, throwing everything into chaos.
He turned back to pull out the others, who had been smashed bloody, but suddenly heard the female driver scream, "No..."
Tony hurriedly turned around and saw a missile flying straight at him. His heart jolted, and he instinctively flung the female driver aside. Then he frantically squeezed the cells in his body and thrust both hands outward.
Then he saw the missile suddenly stop about a meter in front of him, hanging motionless in midair.
This is... Magnetic Field Rotation!
Actually, with his previous Current Drive Realm of three hundred thousand volts, the missile before him could not have hurt him. But he had no idea how strong he was now. His "strength" had always been applied elsewhere.
Moreover, unlike his vague understanding of Current Drive's power, he knew the destructive power of firearms very well. Thus, he had never believed that the human body could withstand a missile.
In that instant just now, he had genuinely thought he was done for.
There was great terror between life and death.
After walking once through the boundary between life and death, his potential erupted instantly. He advanced by leaps and bounds, crossing the threshold of Magnetic Field Rotation in one stroke.
He stared blankly at the missile in front of him. Clearly written on it were the words: Stark Industries.
The missile had actually been made by his own company, and it had blasted straight at his own head!
This was simply too...
While he was distracted, the missile exploded.
With a deafening boom, the shock wave scattered in all directions, sending the dust beside them flying across the sky. Yet when it struck Tony, it was like an autumn breeze brushing his face, causing no harm whatsoever.
Tony even had enough time to look after the female driver nearby and the two soldiers behind him.
The missile made by his own company that had struck Tony in the forehead had dealt a far greater blow to his mind than to his body. For the first time, he examined everything he had done in the past. For the first time, he questioned whether weapons research could truly bring peace to the world.
But clearly, this was not the right place for reflection. Under the missile's impact, the soldiers in the other armored cars had already been wiped out, and the ambushers charged forward.
Tony took a deep breath and waved his hand. A Lightning Dragon appeared in his palm. He casually thrust it forward, and the Lightning Dragon charged straight into the crowds surging over the mountains and plains.
In Tony's eyes, this kind of Lightning Dragon was flashy but impractical, purely good-looking and lacking much killing power. But against the terrorists, who were made of ordinary flesh and blood, its lethality was still terrifying. Anyone it touched died.
The terrorists screamed and cursed, then raised the AKs in their hands and fired at Tony in blind devotion. Hundreds of bullets poured toward him like rain.
But Tony was not afraid even of missiles, let alone ordinary assault rifles.
He casually waved his hand and set up a magnetic field in front of himself.
Although he had only just entered the Magnetic Field Rotation Realm and had never learned any martial techniques from the Ultimate Limit Sect, he was extremely proficient in physics and deeply familiar with controlling magnetic fields. Thus, manipulating the magnetic field came naturally and easily to him.
The few soldiers hiding behind him saw Tony raise his hand, after which countless bullets suddenly appeared in front of him. None of the attacks could cross that invisible line of defense and reach Tony.
As the three soldiers stared in stunned disbelief, Tony waved his hand again and twisted the direction of the magnetic field. All the bullets then returned along their original paths. Blossoms of blood appeared on the charging terrorists, who collapsed to the ground on the spot, motionless.
With just that single move, more than half of the hundred-plus terrorists fell. The remaining terrorists were terrified, dropped their weapons, and turned to run.
Tony was not the kind of person who would take a beating without fighting back. He crooked a finger, and the various fragments scattered across the ground by the explosions immediately floated into the air. They spun and accelerated, then shot out like lightning, piercing the legs of every fleeing terrorist.
Tony looked with satisfaction at the enemies sprawled across the ground, wailing in pain. Then he turned to the three people behind him, who were staring with their mouths agape, and said with a smile, "Now, do you still doubt that I can take on thirteen people by myself?"
"Oh, my God. Don't just say thirteen. Even if you said you could take on thirty by yourself, I'd believe you." The female driver's eyes shone as she clutched her chest tightly, feeling as though her heart were about to leap out.
"Are you one of those thirty, pilot?" Tony raised an eyebrow flirtatiously.
"I certainly wouldn't mind being one of them, but my commanding officer definitely would." The female driver spoke regretfully.
Tony looked at the battlefield, filled with flames and corpses, and sighed as well. He stopped flirting with her.
When the armored cars came under attack, the well-trained soldiers had called the military base, which immediately dispatched fighter jets to provide support.
An attack on Tony Stark was no small matter.
If Tony really died here, Stark Industries would not be easy to deal with. Unless several people in charge lost their positions and a huge amount of benefits was handed over, Obadiah, that old fox, would never be satisfied.
When the fighter jet observer informed headquarters that Tony Stark was safe and unharmed, cheers immediately rang out throughout the command center.
As for how many of the soldiers accompanying him were still alive, no one asked.
Only after the paratroopers descended did they discover that the situation at the scene was far better than they had imagined, but also much more complicated.
All the attackers had been wiped out. Most had died on the spot, while a small portion had their legs pierced and lay paralyzed on the ground, wailing and groaning, unable even to flee.
This was practically merit delivered to their doorstep. But then a question arose... Who had done it?
After providing emergency treatment to the only three survivors at the scene, the paratroopers learned in astonishment from them that the culprit was actually the tycoon Tony Stark, who was being protected in the middle of the crowd while leisurely smoking a cigar.
"How did he do that?"
"Who knows? Maybe some kind of new high-tech weapon? You know, that's Tony Stark. It wouldn't be strange if he made something like this."
After entering the Electromagnetic Rotation Realm, Tony discovered that his physical abilities had been enhanced yet again. They could no longer be described simply as having a clear mind and sharp senses.
His eyes could now see farther than binoculars, and his ears were no less sensitive than wiretapping equipment. More importantly, his thoughts moved at incredible speed. Many academic problems that had troubled him in the past were now solved with ease.
He had experienced something similar when he was in the Current Drive Realm. But since he was already a genius, the sensation had not been particularly obvious. Only after entering the Electromagnetic Rotation Realm did he realize what controlling a magnetic field truly meant.
"This is evolution," he murmured.
