Rosier's words hit Wentworth like a bolt from the blue!
Imprisoned? Where? There was no need to ask. It had to be Azkaban! Break into Azkaban? He was curious about everything in the Wizarding World, but he had absolutely no interest in Dementors!
But Wentworth also knew he couldn't refuse so bluntly. At the very least, he couldn't afford to make these people—who were even more ruthless than the Death Eaters—resent him.
After a moment's silence, Wentworth said carefully,
"Grandma Rosier, don't worry. Before long, I'll go in openly and honorably, not sneak in like this!"
Wentworth meant to tell Rosier that once he graduated and started working at the Ministry of Magic, he could use his job to enter Azkaban openly.
But Rosier heard something else in his words.
She struggled to contain her excitement, even the corners of her mouth twitching.
"Exactly, Wentworth! You're right. When have we ever had to sneak around? We Acolytes aren't some band of outcasts! One day, the Wizarding World will remember us again. I believe that day isn't far off!"
With that, Rosier turned and left. The old people following her nodded excitedly and trailed after her, leaving Wentworth's home.
Wentworth was left standing in the doorway, bewildered.
"They don't seem to have understood what I meant. Oh well, I'll deal with that when the time comes!"
Soon, Wentworth put the matter out of his mind and happily began imagining his future in the Wizarding World.
"Right, I need to plan out my life at Hogwarts carefully. I came here to experience the Wizarding World. Saving the world and all that can be left to the main characters! So, I need to make a plan. First of all..."
While Wentworth was making plans for his future, Rosier and the others had returned to their own home, where it seemed certain none of them would get any sleep that night.
They gathered around together, with Rosier seated at the head. Her gaze swept over everyone present, and then she spoke slowly.
"What happened tonight must be spread throughout the world as soon as possible! Ever since the Master fell for Dumbledore's trap and imprisoned himself, many of our people have gone into hiding."
"Now it's time to wake them up and tell them that the Acolytes have a new Master—and his name is Grindelwald!"
Someone seated below Rosier spoke up.
"Rosier, what if they don't want to be woken? You have to understand, after all these years, some of them may have lost their edge!"
"Then we'll take back everything the Master gave them on his behalf! The Master may not care about those things, but they could still be a great help to Wentworth!"
As Rosier spoke, she pulled a pendant from her robes. A circle was enclosed within the triangle, with a vertical line running through it.
Rosier put the pendant on, then rose to her feet and said,
"For the Greater Good!"
Early the next morning, Wentworth was still asleep when a knock at the door jolted him awake.
Yawning, Wentworth opened the door. Rosier strode right into his home, followed by bags and bundles of all sizes floating behind her. Most of them were clothes, but Wentworth also spotted a great many cosmetics.
As he stood there, puzzled, Rosier turned to him and said,
"Today, I'll give you your first lesson: elegance! Magic may fade with time, but elegance never will!"
Wentworth stared, dumbfounded, at the sea of clothes floating behind Rosier.
When Wentworth appeared at the Leaky Cauldron, his blond hair brushing his eyebrows, his skin fair, and a high-collared coat on his back, the noisy pub fell silent in an instant.
"Wow, I haven't seen such a handsome young man in ages. He's got nine-tenths of my youthful charm!"
When Rosier brought Wentworth up to the bar, Tom, the owner of the Leaky Cauldron, said to him with exaggerated enthusiasm.
"Thank you for the compliment, sir. Your charm is as timeless as the morning star."
Wentworth replied with a smile, poised and unruffled.
Rosier watched his manner and gave an almost imperceptible nod, evidently satisfied with his performance.
Tom, the owner of the Leaky Cauldron, looked astonished. He hadn't expected this young man, whom he was meeting for the first time, to be so calm, mature, and elegant. He asked,
"Young man, first time here? A new Hogwarts student?"
Wentworth smiled and nodded. Tom wore an expression that said he'd known it all along.
Following Tom's directions, Rosier and Wentworth passed through the bar of the Leaky Cauldron and entered a small courtyard enclosed by walls on all sides. Rosier took out her wand and tapped the wall three times. Every brick in the wall began to tremble.
"Welcome to the Wizarding World!"
As Wentworth strolled through Diagon Alley with Rosier, he stared at the dazzling array of goods in the shop windows, his eyes practically popping out of his head.
"Where are we going first, Grandma Rosier?"
Wentworth asked Rosier beside him, his eyes fixed on the flying broomstick in a nearby window.
"Now? Of course we're going to get some money first! Remember to take plenty. It all belongs to your Grindelwald Family anyway. You're about to start at Hogwarts, and the thought of it makes me uneasy. Better to bring extra money, just in case!"
When Rosier and Wentworth entered Gringotts, their striking presence soon drew the attention of many Goblins. Several of the nearest Goblins quickly gathered around them, chattering as they asked what business they wanted to conduct.
But Rosier showed no interest in dealing with the young Goblins. She led Wentworth straight to the counter at the very back of Gringotts, where a wrinkled old Goblin sat and looked at them.
"So, how may I be of service to you? Two esteemed guests?"
The Goblin looked Wentworth and Rosier up and down, then asked.
"We want to go to Vault 714!"
When Rosier said "714," the old Goblin's cloudy eyes suddenly lit up.
"714? I remember that vault. I've always remembered it. Does this mean the heir of that family has returned? This is certainly shocking news for the Wizarding World!"
"Then come with me! I hope you haven't made a mistake and sent me on a pointless errand. You know, Vault 714 can only be accessed through bloodline inheritance."
