Xiao Zhan led several elders out of the Xiao Clan gates, only to see Jialie Bi blocking the entrance with dozens of men.
Jialie Bi stood at the very front, his face livid and his eyes filled with murderous intent.
Behind Jialie Bi stood dozens of Jialie Clan guards, each holding weapons and exuding a ferocious aura.
"Xiao Zhan, you've finally come out," Jialie Bi said coldly.
"Jialie Bi, what do you think you're doing, bringing so many people to my Xiao Clan?" Xiao Zhan asked in a deep voice.
"What am I doing?" Jialie Bi sneered. "Your Xiao Clan killed my son; what do you think I'm here for?"
The Great Elder stepped forward and spoke, "Clan Leader Jialie, this must be a misunderstanding. How could Chen'er possibly..."
"A misunderstanding?" Jialie Bi interrupted the Great Elder. "My men saw it with their own eyes. Your grandson killed my son with a single palm strike and then kicked his corpse to the side of the road to feed the dogs."
The Great Elder's face turned pale.
"Jialie Bi, even if Chen'er really did it, it must have been your son who provoked him first," the Great Elder said.
"I don't care who provoked whom," Jialie Bi declared. "A life for a life, a debt for a debt. Hand over your grandson and I'll give him a quick death; otherwise..."
"Otherwise what?" Xiao Zhan asked.
"Otherwise, I will make your Xiao Clan pay," Jialie Bi said, enunciating every word.
The expressions of the several elders turned grim.
Jialie Bi was a five-star Dou Grandmaster, and the Jialie Clan's strength was significantly greater than the Xiao Clan's. If a fight truly broke out, the Xiao Clan would not fare well.
"Jialie Bi, this is the Xiao Clan, not a place where you can run wild," Xiao Zhan said.
"I'll ask one more time: are you handing him over?" Jialie Bi said.
"No," the Great Elder stepped forward.
The Great Elder looked at Jialie Bi, his eyes showing not a hint of retreat.
"Chen'er is my grandson; no one is going to touch him."
"Old thing, you're courting death," Jialie Bi said coldly.
The Great Elder ignored Jialie Bi's threat, his internal Dou Qi beginning to surge.
The Great Elder was a three-star Dou Grandmaster, two stars lower than Jialie Bi, but for the sake of his grandson, he could no longer care about such things.
"Grandfather." A voice came from behind.
The Great Elder turned his head and saw Xiao Chen walking out from the Xiao Clan gates.
There was no expression on Xiao Chen's face, and his pace was steady and unhurried.
"Chen'er, why did you come out?" the Great Elder said. "Go back."
Xiao Chen did not listen to the Great Elder; he walked to the Great Elder's side and looked at Jialie Bi.
"So you're the one who killed my son?" Jialie Bi stared at Xiao Chen, his eyes filled with murderous intent.
Xiao Chen looked at Jialie Bi and said indifferently, "It was me."
Jialie Bi's rage could no longer be contained.
Jialie Bi lunged toward Xiao Chen, striking out with his palm; the full-force blow of a five-star Dou Grandmaster carried a whistling wind.
The Great Elder's expression changed, and he blocked in front of Xiao Chen.
The Great Elder met the strike with his own palm.
Bang!
The two palm forces collided, producing a muffled thud.
The Great Elder's body flew backward, and he collapsed to the ground, spitting out a mouthful of blood.
"Grandfather!" Xiao Chen's brow furrowed.
"Chen'er... run..." the Great Elder lay on the ground, his voice weak.
Jialie Bi did not stop; he charged toward Xiao Chen again.
"No one is leaving today."
Jialie Bi's eyes were filled with murderous intent as he struck toward Xiao Chen's head with his palm.
Xiao Chen watched Jialie Bi and raised his hand to strike back.
This palm looked light and carried no force at all.
Yet, Jialie Bi's face turned deathly pale in an instant.
Jialie Bi felt a terrifying power rushing toward him, a force so great it exceeded his imagination.
Bang!
Jialie Bi's body flew backward, and he crashed to the ground, spitting out a large mouthful of blood.
Lying on the ground, Jialie Bi looked at Xiao Chen, his eyes filled with disbelief.
"You... you..."
The several elders were also stunned.
They stared at Xiao Chen, their mouths hanging wide open, unable to utter a single word.
Xiao Chen had sent Jialie Bi flying with a single palm strike?
Jialie Bi was a five-star Dou Grandmaster.
How could Xiao Chen, a piece of trash with only the third stage of Dou Disciple, possibly do this?
The Great Elder lay on the ground, watching this scene in a daze.
Jialie Bi scrambled up from the ground and wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth.
His eyes were filled with fury and murderous intent.
"You little beast, I'll kill you!"
The Dou Qi within Jialie Bi surged once more; he prepared to fight to the death.
Xiao Chen watched Jialie Bi, ready to strike again.
"Stop."
A voice drifted over from a distance.
The crowd turned their heads and saw a group of people walking toward them.
Leading them was a woman dressed in a long red dress, her appearance stunningly beautiful.
It was none other than Ya Fei.
Behind Ya Fei followed an old man in a grey robe; his face was gaunt, but his entire body exuded a terrifying aura.
A Dou Ling expert.
Jialie Bi's expression shifted.
"Miss Ya Fei, this is a private matter between my Jialie Clan and the Xiao Clan. Does your Mittel Auction House intend to interfere?" Jialie Bi asked.
Ya Fei did not look at Jialie Bi; she walked up to Xiao Chen and smiled slightly.
"Young Master Xiao Chen, are you alright?"
Xiao Chen shook his head.
Ya Fei turned around and looked at Jialie Bi.
"Clan Leader Jialie, Young Master Xiao Chen is a distinguished guest of our Mittel Auction House. If you move against him, you are making an enemy of our Mittel Auction House."
Jialie Bi's face darkened.
"Miss Ya Fei, he killed my son."
"Then your son deserved to die," Ya Fei said indifferently.
A flash of rage crossed Jialie Bi's eyes, but upon seeing the Dou Ling expert behind Ya Fei, he dared not lash out.
"Miss Ya Fei, are you truly going to protect him?"
"I am," Ya Fei replied.
Jialie Bi remained silent for a moment, then gritted his teeth.
"Fine. Today I will give the Mittel Auction House face, but we shall settle this another day."
Having said that, Jialie Bi turned to leave.
"Stop," Ya Fei commanded.
Jialie Bi halted his steps and looked back.
"Did I say you could leave?" Ya Fei said.
Jialie Bi's expression changed. "Miss Ya Fei, what else do you want?"
Ya Fei did not answer; she turned to look at the Dou Ling expert behind her.
The old man nodded, his figure flickering as he appeared instantly before Jialie Bi.
Jialie Bi's pupils constricted violently.
"You..."
Before Jialie Bi could finish his sentence, the old man struck out with his palm.
Bang!
Jialie Bi's body flew backward, and he collapsed onto the ground, motionless.
The guards of the Jialie Clan watched this scene, their faces turning deathly pale with fright.
Ya Fei looked at the guards and said indifferently, "Carry your clan leader's corpse back. Tell the people of the Jialie Clan that whoever dares to seek revenge will meet the same fate."
The guards hurriedly picked up Jialie Bi's corpse and scrambled away, fleeing in a panic.
The several elders watched this scene, unable to recover their senses for a long time.
Jialie Bi was dead; a five-star Dou Grandmaster had died just like that.
Xiao Zhan stepped forward and cupped his hands toward Ya Fei, "Miss Ya Fei, many thanks for your assistance."
Ya Fei waved her hand dismissively, "There is no need for such formalities, Clan Head Xiao."
Ya Fei turned around and looked at Xiao Chen.
"Young Master Xiao Chen, our Mittel Auction House will always welcome you. If you have the time, do come by and visit more often."
Xiao Chen gave a faint nod.
