With Marcus's head guiding him, Xia Tianming drew closer and closer to where Spencer was.
Hundreds of soldiers patrolling this level had all been assimilated by Xia Tianming and turned into carriers of the Blacklight Virus!
Their faces were stiff, their eyes vacant, like wax figures in a horror wax museum.
At Xia Tianming's command, they could instantly become a Blacklight army and fight for him!
"Break through this wall. It's hollow inside, and you can take a shortcut to reach that guy's location," the Leech Man's head in the fish tank told him.
Xia Tianming looked at the wall in front of him, shifted his arm into Hammer Fist Form, and slammed it against the wall!
Boom!
The wall shattered as easily as tofu, sending dust billowing into the air.
Before the dust had settled, Xia Tianming stepped through the hole in the wall. The space beyond was dimly lit.
Seeing how easily he had smashed through the wall, Marcus continued, surprised, "Keep going. Break through all the walls behind it as quickly as you can. That way, you'll find him by the shortest route and in the least amount of time."
"Won't all this noise alert them?" Xia Tianming asked.
"That's why I told you to break through all the walls as fast as you can. He won't have time to react and escape," Marcus replied with a smile.
Break through them as fast as possible?
That was easy. Xia Tianming shifted directly into [Rhino Armor Form], and his size and strength surged exponentially!
He leaned forward and charged at the wall ahead with a powerful rhino rush!
Thud! Thud! Thud! Thud!!
The sturdy walls crumbled like paper before his unstoppable, savage form. They couldn't slow him down at all!
In less than five seconds, he had smashed through more than a dozen walls. Nearly five-meter-tall, human-shaped holes gaped in them, and broken stone and steel rods littered the floor. The place was a complete wreck!
When he smashed through the twentieth and final wall, a blinding light suddenly appeared. His pupils contracted beneath his virus helmet.
It was a spacious, brightly lit hall in a classical style. Ancient Greek murals covered the lofty dome, and a luxurious crystal chandelier hung at its center.
It was clearly a reception hall. A young woman sat behind the reception desk, holding a small compact mirror as she applied lipstick.
The sudden crash and the appearance of a gigantic armored monster startled her. Her hand jerked, smearing the lipstick all the way to her earlobe.
Behind her stood an elegant office door, its nameplate reading "Oswell E. Spencer."
There was no doubt that the door led to the final mastermind who knew the rocket launch codes.
When the receptionist came to her senses, she screamed and reached for the elegant telephone on the desk to alert her boss.
Whoosh!!
Xia Tianming immediately transformed his arm into Whip-fist Form and swept it across the room, tearing her and the desk to pieces and devouring them in an instant. Her scream cut off abruptly!
Seeing this, Leech Marcus in the fish tank couldn't help saying, "Tsk, you really don't show women any mercy. You actually had the heart to kill such a beautiful woman."
Xia Tianming ignored him. He had killed the woman not only to silence her, but also to obtain the memories in her brain.
Besides, the Blacklight Virus had stripped away all human emotions. To him, men and women, beautiful and ugly, were no different from food.
From the many memories he gained by devouring the receptionist, he learned that the door behind her was indeed the last one between him and Spencer's office.
There were also some steamy memories between the receptionist and Spencer, playing in his mind like pornographic videos???
He hadn't expected the old man to still have so much vigor, even though he was paralyzed in a wheelchair and hooked up to an IV. Had he somehow used the Bio-Organic Weapons Virus to enhance that particular part of himself...?
Now that he had found Spencer's office, he no longer needed the Leech head that had chattered on throughout the journey.
Marcus in the fishbowl saw him suddenly lower his head and fix his dark eyes on him. Sensing that something was wrong, he hurriedly said, "Hey, we made a deal. I'd bring you to Spencer, and you'd let me watch him die. You can't just throw me aside now that we've crossed the river. Young people should keep their word..."
Xia Tianming listened, smiled, and said nothing. He carried the fishbowl toward the office door bearing Spencer's name.
Only then did Marcus relax. If he couldn't see the old bastard die with his own eyes, wouldn't this trip have been for nothing?
Boom!
At the door, Xia Tianming politely kicked the entire thing off its hinges, revealing everything inside.
The office was decorated in the same extravagant style, but no hail of gunfire greeted him as he had expected.
There were no security forces waiting in ambush in the spacious room. Behind a huge conference table at its center, only an elderly man with a deeply lined, wrinkled face sat in a wheelchair, his cloudy eyes fixed on Xia Tianming at the door.
In a hoarse voice roughened by time, he said, "You've come. I knew you'd find your way here eventually. I just didn't expect it to happen so soon."
This old man, with half his body already in the grave, was one of the founders of Umbrella Corporation—and the Spencer Xia Tianming had come here to find!
He seemed to have known Xia Tianming would come, yet he hadn't left to save himself. He hadn't even set up any security measures in his office.
"You old bastard, it's been ages since you came down to visit me. So I've brought this promising young man here to see you myself, heh heh," the Leech Man's head in the fishbowl sneered.
He could hardly wait to see Spencer tortured to death.
Spencer stared at the fishbowl in Xia Tianming's hand, puzzled. After a moment's hesitation, he asked, "Who... are you?"
Marcus...
"You senile old bastard! Have you got dementia?! You're the one who did this to me, and you—"
Marcus froze, then flew into a rage and started cursing. He wished he could crawl into Spencer's mouth and gnaw his withered brain to pieces.
Xia Tianming didn't want to listen to the two old men bicker. He casually set the fishbowl on a nearby table, then walked toward Spencer in his wheelchair.
If he devoured the old man, he could obtain the rocket launch codes.
He had no intention of asking him outright. There was no need to waste words when he could take the memories directly.
"Before I die, could you tell me why you've come here? And where did you get this virus?"
Watching the man who had destroyed most of the base's facilities approach, Spencer widened his eyes with curiosity and asked. Even death couldn't extinguish his lifelong passion for viruses.
But the only answer he got was a Blacklight Whip-Blade radiating a murderous aura!
The whip-blade tore through the air with a forceful crack, letting out a deathly shriek.
Just as it was about to pierce Spencer's head, a huge, blister-covered hand suddenly shot out from the side and grabbed the Blacklight Whip-Blade!
Its sharp, hooked tip stopped less than a fist's length from Spencer's cloudy eye...
