Going Head-to-Head

Under Xia Tianming's furious, relentless assault, William in G2 Form had been reduced to half a body, and the air was thick with the stench of blood!

Just as Xia Tianming raised his Blacklight Blade, ready to chop the remains to pieces and devour them completely,

the half-bodied G-William suddenly kicked out, catching him off guard and sending him flying!

Even without an upper body, it could still attack?!

Xia Tianming reacted with incredible speed. He transformed his arm into a Blacklight Whip-Blade and hooked it into the floor, carving deep furrows as he gradually steadied himself.

During this brief pause in the fighting, G-William underwent another rapid transformation!

The severed lower half wriggled with fleshy tendrils, quickly growing and swelling as it began its third-stage evolution!

Having suffered such devastating injuries, it healed even faster this time. In less than two seconds, the surging flesh had formed a new upper body. But its skin had peeled away completely, exposing scarlet muscles teeming with explosive power!

Its trademark eyeballs were still there, naturally—and this time, it had grown more than just one. Eyeballs of all sizes covered its legs, back, and waist, giving it practically all-around vision!

William's original head had vanished completely, replaced by a blood-red skull with deep, hollow eye sockets. Its sinister aura made one shudder.

And because its limbs had been destroyed first in both previous stages, this time it had grown a pair of wing-shaped, exoskeletal claws directly from its back!

Its overall appearance was now completely inhuman, like a fallen angel crawling out of Hell!

G-William had entered G-3 Form!

Seeing the tremendous changes in his opponent, Xia Tianming raised an eyebrow. Its post-injury evolution was already faster than his own.

It had taken just three seconds without an attack for it to fully recover and evolve to the third stage. And it hadn't needed to consume any nutrients along the way—it had simply defied the law of conservation of energy to reach a higher stage.

If it kept evolving without end, devouring a planet would probably only be a matter of time.

If it had one weakness, it was that its contagion was relatively weak. The G-Virus only chose suitable vessels as hosts. If it came into contact with an unsuitable vessel, it would either kill the host outright or turn it into a completely ordinary, low-level virus creature with exposed, vulnerable organs.

It seemed the only way to finish it off was to keep attacking without pause, until it was crushed into a pulp and devoured completely!

In the fish tank, Leech Marcus sensed the violent aura radiating from the monster that had entered the G3 stage. It was the most invincible form he had ever seen!

He couldn't help warning Xia Tianming again. "Don't get close to it so casually! Be careful it turns the tables on you. Hurry and find a water source to put me in so the two of us can work together to fight it!"

But Xia Tianming said nothing. He got up and continued walking toward his opponent alone.

William, now in G3 Form, stood nearly five meters tall. His body was bulging with muscle and covered in a layer of hard, bony armor. He lowered his hideous skull slightly, watching as his opponent kept walking toward him—and then, astonishingly, he spoke!

He raised the massive exoskeletal claws on his back and pointed them at Xia Tianming, speaking in a voice like a demon's low growl. "Grr... You actually dare come closer? You see me enter the third stage and still don't run—instead, you come looking for death? Even if you bring that stupid brain in the fish tank with you, it'll be no different from a bunch of mice visiting a cat. You'll all just be throwing your lives away!"

"If I don't get closer, how am I supposed to tear you limb from limb?" Xia Tianming replied, speaking coldly for once.

G3-William's bloodlust flared. He bared a demonic grin. "Grr, grr... Then why not come a little closer?"

And so, the two of them began closing the distance between them!

The instant they were both within striking range,

they attacked almost simultaneously!

William, in G-3 Form, moved as if to bring down the huge exoskeletal claws on his back, smashing them toward the man who dared approach him!

The force was so tremendous that even the nearby floor-length curtains were swept into the air!

Xia Tianming didn't dodge the imposing bony claws. In the blink of an eye, he transformed his right arm into Blacklight Claws and met them head-on!

But G3-William's move was a feint. The exoskeletal claws didn't come down. Instead, he suddenly kicked out with his deformed right leg, covered in barbs, and slammed it into Xia Tianming's knee!

Bang!!

The trouser leg woven from the Blacklight Virus exploded, and Xia Tianming's knee bent inward at a forty-five-degree angle!

Seeing that his sneak attack had succeeded, G3-William laughed arrogantly. "Too slow! Too slow! My G3 Form is the perfect combination of strength and speed! I don't even need to evolve to a higher stage to leave a lowlife, knockoff virus like you in the dust!"

Xia Tianming merely lowered his head and glanced at his injured knee. In less than a second, it had healed completely, without any sign of injury. Even the damaged trouser leg had been repaired by viral tendrils.

"So that's what you call strength? A gentle caress that doesn't even leave a scratch? Though you did ruin my perfectly good pants." Xia Tianming traded barbs too, sneering at his opponent.

Sure enough, the short-tempered G3-William was provoked. He snarled, "Hmph! You trash sure love running your mouths, don't you? I'll show you what a true virus king looks like!"

With that, he clenched the two massive exoskeletal claws on his back into fists and unleashed a barrage of blows at the man who dared mock him. The wind from his incredible punching speed kicked up dust all around them. He was determined to smash Xia Tianming into mincemeat!

After deliberately angering his opponent, Xia Tianming also transformed both arms into Hammer Fist Form and met his fists head-on once more!!

For a time, the two traded blows evenly. The shock waves from their colliding fists reverberated through the luxurious office!

Watching from behind the desk, Spencer and Marcus in the fish tank couldn't help but shudder. If either of them had to take even one punch from those two...

No—just the wind from their fists would tear them apart!

Ora ora ora ora!!!

The Blacklight Virus and the G-Virus both had the monstrous stamina to grow stronger as they fought. They smashed into each other with a furious barrage of dozens of punches per second, yet neither seemed to feel the slightest fatigue!

If they kept going like this, the entire Umbrella base would eventually be destroyed and collapse!
