Personality

Assignment to the Living Corpse King Hunt

Philip is introduced when Parick assigns two mercenary squads to Xia Leng's mission. As captain of the Tiger Squad, he is immediately offended by Xia Leng's indifference but does not openly challenge him because of Parick's interest in the newcomer. 36

He travels with Xia Leng and Gilbert to the Street of the Living Dead, where the Tiger Squad serves as the expedition's close-combat force. 38

Street of the Living Dead

When a coordinated living-corpse horde overwhelms the convoy, Philip loses four men and is humiliated by Xia Leng's assessment of the situation. He later channels his fear into action, directing Tiger Squad personnel to restore the blood-obscured searchlights. 39 41

Inside the Trade Tower, Philip leads from the front against ambushing living corpses. His aggression rallies the Tiger Squad, but the expedition sustains escalating losses as it advances upward. 42 43

Battle with the Living Corpse King

After the survivors reach the thirteenth floor, Philip remains suspicious of Xia Leng and insists that he lead the way. 47

During the battle with the Living Corpse King, Philip attempts to decapitate it with his titanium blades. The attack fails against the creature's natural armor; Philip suffers broken ribs and is pinned beneath the King, narrowly avoiding death only when Xia Leng blinds the monster's right eye with a Bone Blade. 48
