Ice Empress and Snow Empress ruled the core region of the Far North beneath the Ice Phoenix's authority. He could suppress their bloodlines when they disobeyed, and sometimes sent Ice Empress into the deep sea to catch ten-thousand-year Ice Marrow Fish. Her feelings toward him combined respect, fear, and an existing sense of intimacy 1.

The two watched his transformation tribulation from a high snow peak. After discovering that he had become an infant, they brought him into Snow Empress's care. Ice Empress helped look after him, and both women devoted themselves to raising Xue Tianyu during the six years before his martial soul awakening 1 2 3 5.

Sparring with Xue Tianyu

Excited by his twin martial souls and ten-thousand-year first soul ring, Ice Empress challenged the newly awakened Xue Tianyu to a spar. She restricted herself to level-ten soul power, but his Frost Sword Qi cracked her shield and forced her backward 5 6.
