Sun Xiaochuan was hurled away by the blast wave. His body flipped twice in midair before crashing heavily onto the platform with a dull thud.
He lay there with his eyes shut and limbs sprawled, completely unconscious.
The violent exertion had torn open his wounds again. Blood slowly seeped from the cuts the wind blades had carved into his arms, leaving a small, dark-red stain on the platform.
Hu Chenfeng saw his teammate fall, and his heart sank. He instinctively tried to retreat, putting distance between himself and Xiao Qing so he could regroup and launch another attack.
But Xiao Qing gave him no such chance.
The third Soul Ring beneath Xiao Qing's feet lit up again as Lightning Flash activated. His body blurred, and in an instant he appeared in front of Hu Chenfeng, driving a punch straight at his chest.
Hu Chenfeng had no choice but to fight back. Gritting his teeth, he unleashed his four Soul Skills in succession, hoping to force Xiao Qing back.
But Xiao Qing clung to him like a burr. No matter how Hu Chenfeng changed his moves, Xiao Qing stayed close, raining down fists and kicks like a violent storm.
Xiao Qing's attacks came without pause, wave after wave. Every block left Hu Chenfeng's arms more numb and aching, and every dodge threw his footwork further into disarray.
Knowing he was outmatched, Hu Chenfeng fought while retreating, all the while calculating rapidly.
He believed that if he could just hold on a little longer, the scales of victory would eventually tip in his favor.
He didn't believe the young man in front of him could sustain such a relentless attack for long.
Stamina was a weakness no Soul Master could escape. He and Sun Xiaochuan had worn their opponent down in shifts.
