The earliest can be traced back thousands of years to the myths of ancient civilizations like Mesopotamia, the ancient Hebrews, and Rome. Some say they're descendants of Cain, while others claim their ancestors were Dracula or Judas."
When he finished, Lu Zhiyu looked at Charlie. "Since the Middle Ages, the Church has issued many decrees concerning the Bloodkin. They treated them as a grave threat, which seems to prove they really existed. The Bloodkin's shadow never seems to have disappeared; they've remained hidden behind humanity!"
