Xiao Yi Xian practices medicine at the Ten Thousand Medicine Pavilion in Green Mountain Town, near the Magical Beast Mountain Range. Her frequent free treatments earn her considerable influence among residents and mercenaries. Demand for her consultations is so high that some mercenaries deliberately injure themselves to obtain priority treatment 10 11.

She dreams of becoming an alchemist. When Xiao Lei approaches her with a medicinal pill, she arranges a private discussion and asks him to assess her aptitude. He tells her that she lacks alchemy talent, but identifies her dormant Woe Poison Body—a constitution capable of extraordinary growth through poison consumption, with potentially catastrophic consequences 10 11.

Initially frightened, she considers avoiding poison altogether. Xiao Lei explains that even accumulated trace toxins can eventually awaken the constitution. Rather than immediately accepting his advice, she questions his knowledge and motives, correctly deducing that he values her growth potential.
