Xiao Yan is Xiao Zhan's son and Xiao Lei's clansman. As a child, Xiao Yan's status as the clan leader's son allowed him to approach Xiao Xun'er, while Xiao Lei—then an orphan suffering from an incomplete soul—remained detached from their relationship 49.
