Stepping onto the carpet of frost, the crunching sound set one's teeth on edge. Clearly, the host hadn't laid out this "carpet" out of courtesy. Like that mass of thunderclouds, it was simply a show of force.

Nick Fury, however, continued forward with great composure. This sort of intimidation couldn't affect the super-spy's mood, and even the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents accompanying him remained unfazed.

Medusa and Black Bolt, on the other hand, seemed less accustomed to walking on the ice. Medusa nearly slipped in her high heels, leaving her looking rather awkward.

Seeing this, Nick Fury realized he couldn't place all his hopes in them. He began considering how to maintain "friendly" relations with Indra if things got out of hand.

From their previous encounters, Indra didn't seem like the kind of person who was vicious or harbored great ambitions. Otherwise, after eliminating Hydra, he could easily have taken control of most of Europe.

Whether he wanted to found a nation or declare himself emperor, with his current abilities, he would probably have an excellent chance of success. Yet he hadn't lingered in the bustling world. Instead, he'd come to the Pacific Ocean and built an island of his own. It looked as though he intended to make it his personal domain.

In other words, he had no intention of seizing people and land from other countries. Otherwise, he wouldn't have gone so far out of his way.

Faced with such overwhelming force, Nick Fury had no intention of picking a fight with him unless he was bent on destroying the world. He could wait and see how things unfolded. If Black Bolt and the others really had come here to get themselves killed, Nick Fury wouldn't mind using them as a gift to curry favor with Indra.
