Bugs were the nightmare of many women. The sight of those densely packed compound eyes, bloated writhing bodies, or scuttling insect legs was enough to inspire extreme terror.
But hearing Luo Xia solemnly say that what Rona feared were bugs, Banner found it a little amusing.
"They're just bugs, aren't they? Doesn't sound like a big deal," Dr. Banner said.
The other reborn superheroes also thought it would not be much of a problem. The bugs in an illusion could at most be bigger and uglier than usual.
That was what all the superheroes thought, but the idea quickly became a joke.
Luo Xia drew upon the power of the Infinity Stones and created an illusory gateway directly connected to Rona's nightmare.
"Beyond this gate is Rona's dream. As long as we kill all the monsters inside, I think she'll wake up," Luo Xia told everyone.
"This will be extremely dangerous. In a dream, our individual abilities will be greatly affected, and everything must follow the dream's logic. It may be completely unreasonable, but we still have to act according to its rules. And if your souls are torn apart, they may be damaged as well. Even the power of the Infinity Stones cannot guarantee that it will be able to revive you." Luo Xia made the danger especially clear.
Yet no one was willing to withdraw. Everyone before him had once sacrificed themselves for the entire universe, so naturally they would not back down this time. But Luo Xia only selected a few people to pass through the dream gate with him. He did not even intend to let Skye or Wanda accompany them.
This was not a situation where more people meant greater effectiveness.
