When he followed the address Belcher had provided and arrived at the place, he was met by a monster with an insect's head and hands and feet transformed into jointed claws. Beneath the silver giant insect was a dense mass of metallic bugs, their jaws opened wide as they lunged at Bruce Wayne.
Against such a concentrated assault, even if Batman's armor truly was impervious to blades and bullets, he would be drowned beneath the sea of insects and gnawed down to bone fragments.
At that moment, Bruce Wayne finally understood what Belcher had meant by invaders from another universe. What were these metal monsters if not aliens?
As if speaking of the devil, the moment Bruce Wayne thought of Belcher, a spark portal appeared before him. Belcher stood within it and waved at Bruce Wayne.
