When Luo Xia returned to Gotham City, the local newspapers devoted their largest headlines to a shocking piece of news—Arkham Asylum had been attacked, and a large number of dangerous mental patients had escaped!
Luo Xia had known about this long ago, but what he had not expected was that Jim Gordon, who had just been promoted to police commissioner, would personally come to visit him because of it.
Luo Xia held some respect for this legendary detective, who had managed to uphold his principles and survive in Gotham City. Someone like Gordon needed more than luck to have made it this far. Anyone else would have died in some alley long ago.
"Commissioner Gordon, why trouble yourself with coming here in person?"
Luo Xia brewed Gordon a pot of fine Biluochun tea, but Gordon apparently did not care much for the taste of Chinese tea. He merely took a small sip before setting down his cup.
"Mr. Luo Xia, you've seen the newspapers too. You should know that dozens of patients escaped from Arkham Asylum. These people are extremely dangerous mental patients, and most of them are highly aggressive. I came specifically to remind you that you must be careful about your safety in the near future," Gordon told Luo Xia gravely.
"Commissioner Gordon, did you come all this way just to remind me of that? Isn't that making too much of it?" Luo Xia asked curiously.
"It isn't making too much of it. Besides coming here, I'll personally visit every wealthy resident in Gotham City, one by one. I hope they'll take this seriously enough," Gordon explained.
"Wouldn't escaped mental patients pose a greater threat to ordinary Gotham citizens? They may be crazy, but they aren't idiots. Why would they actively attack heavily guarded mansions?" Luo Xia asked
