As usual, Ice Empress had come to Snow Empress's residence.

She happened to run into Snow Empress, who had just returned with Yu Shuangbai.

Her emerald-green eyes immediately fell on the small figure in Snow Empress's arms.

A trace of confusion and curiosity appeared in her eyes.

"Xue'er, why did you bring back a human child?"

"I found him on the ice plains."

Snow Empress briefly recounted the strange changes that had occurred, how she had followed them to investigate, and how she had found Yu Shuangbai unconscious on the ice plains.

Hearing this, Ice Empress's red lips parted slightly.

"How interesting!"

Something that could help an existence of Snow Empress's caliber circulate her power more smoothly and bring her benefits—

Ice Empress leaned closer.

Like a curious baby, she studied Yu Shuangbai in Snow Empress's arms.

Snow Empress gently pushed Ice Empress away as she leaned in to look, then laid Yu Shuangbai on the ice bed.

At first, she had worried that the ice bed might be too cold for a human child.

But remembering the astonishingly frigid aura Yu Shuangbai had emanated—one that had even shocked her—Snow Empress dismissed the concern.

"Xue'er, this little fellow really does seem interesting."

Ice Empress sat beside the ice bed and prodded the unconscious Yu Shuangbai's cheek with her pale little finger.

The chill radiating from Yu Shuangbai was quite pleasurable to the ruler of the Ice Jade Scorpion Clan.

As she touched him, she also felt the change Snow Empress had mentioned.

At last, she understood why Snow Empress had brought him back.

This wasn't an ordinary human child at all.

He was practically a walking paradise!

Perhaps Ice Empress's movements had disturbed him.

Yu Shuangbai's brows knitted slightly. His eyelashes quivered, and a soft groan escaped his lips.

Then, under the two women's gaze, he slowly opened his eyes.

"Where am I?"

Yu Shuangbai clutched his forehead.

The view before him gradually sharpened from a blur.

Two graceful figures came into focus.

Yu Shuangbai struggled to sit up despite his aching body.

"May I ask who you are, senior?"

"Snow Empress."

Those two short words struck Yu Shuangbai's heart like a thousand-pound hammer.

This name might have been unfamiliar to the Soul Masters of this era.

But to Yu Shuangbai, a transmigrator, it was as famous as thunder.

The Heavenly Snow Woman, the strongest being in the Far North, a top Ferocious Beast!

Then the other one must be Ice Empress...

Yu Shuangbai glanced at the green-haired woman beside her and roughly guessed her identity.

even facing the two rulers of the Far North, Yu Shuangbai felt little fear.

"Senior, may I ask what happened, and why am I here?"

Perhaps because the aura around Yu Shuangbai put her at ease, Snow Empress was quite patient.

In her ethereal voice, she explained everything that had happened.

He knew that Soul Rings could have unusual colors.

In Douluo II, Huo Gua had an orange Soul Ring.

What appeared wasn't the big ice-type lizard he remembered.

Dragon scales like ice crystals covered his right arm.

He looked completely different from before.

Snow Empress looked at the Martial Soul that had appeared on Yu Shuangbai and murmured softly.

"Xue'er, what kind of Martial Soul is this? Even I can feel a faint sense of oppression from it."

Ice Empress's expression was grave as she asked softly.

She was the Ice Jade Empress Scorpion!

Across the entire Far North, hers was one of the most elite species.

Yet she had felt a trace of oppression from the Martial Soul of Yu Shuangbai, a weak Soul Master with only one Soul Ring.

It was no more than a thread of sensation, as faint as a wisp—but it still stirred a storm in the heart of this ruler of ice and snow.

Snow Empress parted her red lips and slowly spoke three words.

When she looked back at Yu Shuangbai, her eyes had changed completely.

She was looking at a miracle.

The Ice Dragon King, who should have perished in the God Realm War, had become a human's Martial Soul. How could that not be a miracle?
