Olivier brought Victoria to the Sparge Family, beat people up, and demanded a million gold coins in compensation; the news spread throughout the Imperial Capital.
The Sparge Family had indeed lost a great deal of face, yet no one in the upper echelons of the capital dared to mock them. They knew that being targeted by a God-level powerhouse and surviving was already a stroke of immense fortune.
However, several families had to reconsider their relationships with the Sparge Family; offending a God-level powerhouse was no laughing matter.
Half a day later.
A bearded old man arrived at Victoria's home.
"Lord Olivier, I am Sparge. I have come specifically to apologize to you. That brat Frankland actually dared to offend your disciple; I will certainly teach him a harsh lesson when I return." After receiving the news, Sparge had rushed back immediately, bringing a million gold coins with him.
"This is the million gold coins for your esteemed disciple; please accept it. If there is anything else you require, feel free to command me; I am willing to serve you." Sparge produced a spatial ring and handed it to Olivier.
"Very well, you may go. I have accepted the gold coins; we are now even." Olivier did not wish to say much to him. Seeing that the gold had been delivered, he prepared to see him out.
"Ah... then I shall take my leave." Sparge wanted to say more, but upon seeing Olivier's attitude, he dared not.
In truth, he had hoped to use this opportunity to build a relationship with Olivier. If he could work for Olivier, a bad situation might have turned into a blessing.
Magic Tower.
Catherine still wore her silver mask, dressed in a shirt, her long hair flowing.
"You have put a lot of heart into your disciple," Catherine said, looking at Olivier across from her.
She knew Olivier was an incredibly arrogant man. Earning his recognition was extremely difficult; not even a single Saint-level powerhouse in the entire Yulan Empire had managed to gain his approval. To be honest, Catherine was quite curious.
Olivier looked into Catherine's eyes, as if trying to see the person beneath the mask, and smiled slightly. He understood what Catherine meant.
"I finally took on a disciple, so of course I must be attentive. It is a sin to ruin a student's potential."
Catherine watched Olivier calmly. Having not received the answer she wanted, she was not annoyed, but her calm eyes seemed to possess a magical quality that made one feel it was wrong not to tell the truth.
Sure enough, Olivier gave in and spoke slowly.
"The Yulan Continent has a history of trillions of years. Throughout the ages, countless peerless geniuses have become Saints and Gods; if you calculate the number, it is terrifying. Among these people, many must have stood at the peak of the God-level, looking down upon all living things. To look no further than the present, you, the War God, Cesar, and others are all peerless geniuses of an era; in terms of talent, who among you is not top-tier? And then there is Lord Beirut of the Dark Forest, who is a peak existence even in the God Realm."
Olivier deliberately dragged out a long explanation, wanting to see Catherine get angry, but he was disappointed; Catherine's eyes showed no change at all.
She remained as indifferent as ever, only showing fluctuations when the subject concerned herself.
"What I mean is, among all these geniuses, Victoria's talent is the most supreme. Even the great Lord Beirut is not as talented as Victoria."
A ripple finally appeared in Catherine's calm eyes. In front of Lord Beirut, God-level powerhouses like the War God and Cesar were no more than ants. Now, Olivier was comparing Victoria to Beirut, and it was coming from Olivier's own mouth.
Either Olivier had gone mad, or it might actually be true.
It was as if someone who possessed hundreds of millions in assets like you told you that the beggar you met yesterday would one day possess tens of billions—how could one not be shocked?
"How did you discern that Victoria has such great talent?"
Catherine asked.
She knew Olivier was not insane. But even the genius ranked number one in the ten-thousand-year history of the Yulan Continent could not guarantee a one-hundred-percent chance of becoming a Saint, so what was Olivier's reasoning?
"Haha, this? That is my secret; I cannot tell you."
Olivier laughed.
"However, it is not impossible. I have a condition."
Olivier added.
"What condition?"
Looking at Olivier's mischievous smile, Catherine felt a spark of irritation.
"It is that you remove your mask and let me see. How about it? Let us trade; I will exchange Victoria's secret for yours."
Olivier chuckled and said.
From Catherine's eyes, he could see strange emotions. Olivier guessed that if he could see the expression beneath her silver mask, it would be quite interesting.
"Forget it then, as if I care." The mask was Catherine's weakness; no matter how Olivier asked, she would never agree.
"Catherine, don't be angry. How about this: I will share Victoria with you. Let her take you as a master as well, to study Life Magic." Olivier said again.
Olivier had already thought it through. Victoria was a three-element soul mutant: Light, Life, and Water. He could teach her the Light element himself, Catherine was the most suitable for the Life Law, and as for the Water element, he could find some Saint-level mages to teach her.
"It is not impossible for me to teach her Life Magic, but I must at least know how good my disciple's talent truly is."
Catherine thought to herself, 'You won't tell me Victoria's secret, yet you want me to take her as a disciple? No way.'
"Don't be like that. If you miss out on such a peerless genius, you won't find another opportunity like this. I am willing to share with you; you are being unreasonable. Come, come, I must explain this to you properly."
Olivier finally realized what it meant to dig one's own grave.
After a fierce war of words, Catherine finally agreed to teach Victoria. However, Olivier had to sign some unequal treaties, though he insisted that Victoria's secret could only be traded for the removal of her mask.
From then on, Victoria had two God-level masters, a unique situation in the Yulan Continent.
And thus, her legendary path began.
Three-element soul mutation is far stronger in talent than two-element soul mutation. The only known three-element soul mutant in countless planes, Mos, was an existence comparable to a Paragon High-God. Even a God-Eater Rat, when cultivated to a High-God, has physical defenses comparable to a Sovereign Artifact, but when Bebe faced the Wind-element Paragon Bayer, he was nothing but a living target; the gap to a Paragon is simply too vast.
Olivier's goal was to train Victoria into a powerhouse at least comparable to a Paragon High-God.
In truth, two-element soul mutation is also very powerful, but in terms of soul power, it is far inferior to three-element soul mutation, and later, when fusing divine power, it is ten times weaker. The difference is not small at all, so Olivier also hoped to cultivate a third clone, but unfortunately, he was currently completely in the dark with no leads.
He could only pin his hopes on Victoria.
