History
A led Kumogakure's forces against Uchiha Yan's army at Thunder-Moon Canyon. He fought Yan during the ensuing battles, but was eventually pinned down by black rods that suppressed chakra even when Killer B tried to remove them 79 80 85 86.
Three years later, Yan offered A freedom in exchange for handling a matter in the Land of Demons on Konoha's behalf. A traveled there with Darui and Nii Yugito. His team encountered soldiers that could keep fighting after ordinary blows; they also found scrolls and a mysterious crystal ball 106 109 110. A and his companions later reached the capital amid a confrontation involving Yan, Nagato, Yomi, and Miroku, and reported that the crystal ball had been stolen 130.
A continued to challenge Yan over Kumogakure's future, asking why Yan appeared to be stopping its people from leaving the Ninja World 149. When Yan attempted to extract the Two-Tails from Yugito, A watched anxiously and thanked him after he stabilized her life force 150.
