Background / History

A led Kumogakure's response after the Uchiha Ninja Army captured Thunder-Moon Canyon. Arriving with reinforcements, he found the canyon fortified under Uchiha banners and ordered reconnaissance before preparing a counteroffensive. 78

He personally led approximately 5,000 Kumogakure ninja in the attempt to retake the canyon, charging alongside his younger brother, Killer B. The assault suffered severe losses as A and Killer B outpaced their own forces under Konoha's organized ninjutsu bombardment. 79

During the battle, A fought Uchiha Yan directly. Although his physical strength and Lightning Release Chakra Mode made him a formidable close-range opponent, Yan's Black Receivers disrupted his chakra upon contact. A is intensely proud, direct, and quick to anger when Kumogakure is threatened or humiliated. He responds to Yan's provocations with open hostility and repeatedly challenges him head-on rather than backing down. 78 80 87

Despite his temper, A is a responsible commander. He ordered Killer B to prioritize the retreat of Kumogakure's surviving ninja rather than attempt a rescue, accepting capture to protect the village.
