After dinner, the group returned once more to the Intelligent Connected Farming Research Base in Chongyun Village, returning to the underground conference room where Fang Pingfang and the others had met with Xia Libing that morning.

Old He first held a meeting with Xia Libing, connecting remotely with Xiang Kun. He then confirmed Xia Libing's identity on behalf of the Non-Normal Biology Research Center and had several routine agreements signed.

Next came a full meeting with Fang Pingfang's team, during which they were given a brief introduction to the organizational structure of the official bodies involved in Mutated Creature research, along with some past research findings and research plans.

Yet the more they listened to Old He's introduction, the more Fang Pingfang and the others realized that Xia Libing seemed to possess a more systematic body of information and research concerning Mutated Creatures, with far richer details in many areas.

That left them even more confused. Which side was actually the higher authority?

Or was it simply because Old He handled administration and management, so he did not know much about the technical side of things?

Moreover, according to Old He, Xia Libing would lead and establish the upcoming research plans and overall research direction. She could represent Xiang Kun or Mr. Liang, while Old He would represent the Non-Research Center in providing the necessary oversight and assistance for their research.

It was clear that the research institution they would establish and the projects they would undertake would all fall under Xia Libing's management.

Even without Old He stating it explicitly, the fact that "all Mutated Creature specimens must be supplied by Xia Libing or the research institution under her control" was enough to demonstrate her status.

Next, Xia Libing laid out her vision for the newly formed research institution.
