Under Roy's terrifying power, Kakuzu was sent flying dozens of meters before finally coming to a stop.
A thread-like monster crawled out of Kakuzu's body, fell to the ground, and lost all signs of life.
"This guy..."
Kakuzu felt a chill in his heart.
He had thought Roy had fled at that speed because he wanted to escape.
He had not expected the guy to turn back.
And what had that guy meant by what he had just said...?
The moment Roy saw Kakuzu, Akatsuki was the first thing that came to mind.
This guy's partner was that idiot Hidan.
Facing two opponents who were not easy to kill, Roy found it rather troublesome.
That was why he had chosen to flee first.
But not long after leaving, he remembered that this guy seemed not to have joined Akatsuki yet.
With that in mind, he turned back.
"One life."
"Next, I'll let you know that there are some people you can't just assassinate whenever you want."
"Leave something behind as the price."
After Roy spoke, bolts of lightning rose around him once more.
"Run!"
As an assassin, Kakuzu had an excellent grasp of the situation.
The Roy before him was simply not an opponent he could kill right now.
Just one strike had taken one of his lives.
He was not immortal; he just had a few extra lives.
But it felt like those few lives would not be enough for the monster before him to kill.
"Fire Style: Ten Directions Flame Dragon."
Just as Kakuzu turned around, several terrifying flaming dragons came charging straight at him.
It was already too late to dodge.
And when had that guy gotten to this direction?
"Boom boom boom..."
As the Ten Directions Flame Dragons erupted, Kakuzu was instantly swallowed by the explosions.
