The weather in Britain is always unpredictable; it might be sunny in the morning, but by evening it could start pouring rain.

Far out at sea from London stands a huge rock with a crooked, dilapidated little house on it.

The biting wind brought by the storm whistled through the cracks in the wooden walls, making the four people inside shiver with cold.

Even so, the atmosphere inside the room remained tense and on the verge of conflict.

"What you've seen is all stupid lies. Now, hand me that damned letter!" Vernon Dursley said, his face flushed and his breath coming in gasps.

Opposite him stood a thin boy with round-framed glasses and a scar on his forehead.

He was clutching an opened envelope in his hand, the Hogwarts crest on it particularly conspicuous.

Harry Potter looked somewhat lost.

"This is what you've been preventing me from seeing?" He frowned. "A... acceptance letter from a magic school?"

"Shut up!" Uncle Vernon yelled, his face turning almost purple.

"This world has no magic!" he said, enunciating each word clearly. "Give me that damned letter, and then we'll go home!"

"No!" Harry shook his head firmly, clutching the letter to his chest. "This is for me!"

Uncle Vernon was furious. He never imagined that even after running so far, that damned owl would still be able to find him.

Moreover, he had never seen such a large owl before; with its wings spread, it looked like a monster and landed directly on their ship.

Uncle Vernon was terrified. He tried to shoo the owl away, but before he could even take out his newly bought rifle, the owl snatched it away with its claws and threw it into the sea.

Then it stood there, its scarred face glaring menacingly at them, its dagger-like claws leaving deep, threatening scratches on the boat.

Their family dared not do anything else.

"Monster!"

That owl is definitely not normal; it's a monster just like those people!

Vernon roared inwardly like a madman.

Fortunately, the owl left after Harry finished reading the letter, so there's still time. As long as the letter is destroyed... it's not too late.

Give it to me!

Uncle Vernon roared and charged at Harry, trying to snatch the letter away.

Harry turned and ran, weaving and dodging Vernon's large hand in the small room.

His small stature made him even more agile; Uncle Vernon managed to avoid even touching his clothes for a short time.

But the room was only so big, and by the time Aunt Petunia and Dudley realized what was happening and joined the chase, Harry was quickly pinned to the ground.

"Give me the letter!"

Uncle Vernon slumped there, panting heavily, and tried to pull Harry's arm.

The process was quite simple; soon, Uncle Vernon pulled Harry's hand off his chest.

But just as he reached out to take the letter...

"Boom!"

The sudden pounding on the door shook the entire small house, startling everyone who stared at the door in terror.

"Boom!"

Another pounding on the door.

Dudley, terrified, huddled in Aunt Petunia's arms and exclaimed in fear, "It looks like something's trying to come in!"

"Who's outside?" Uncle Vernon stood up tremblingly, shouting menacingly at the door, "I'm warning you, I... I've already called the police, this is trespassing!"

There was a moment of silence outside, then with a click, the door was ripped off.

A burly man stood at the door.

"Could I have a cup of hot tea? It must have been quite a journey..." Hagrid squeezed into the house with difficulty and then put the door back on.

"This rain is really heavy. I should have listened to Kyle and taken the Knight Bus... What are you all doing lying on the ground?"

He bent down, pulled Harry up from the ground, and said with a smile, "You must be Harry."

Harry looked up at the fierce, savage, and indistinct face and smiled slightly.

He could sense that this person was very friendly to him.

Hagrid said with a smile, "The last time I saw you, you were just a little baby. You looked a lot like your father, but your eyes were like your mother's."

Uncle Vernon let out a strange cry, as if he had stepped on an electric shock, and his entire face turned a purplish-red.

He wanted to kick Hagrid out, but that was clearly impossible.

"Get away from me, you big idiot."

Hagrid ignored Vernon's clamor and lit the fireplace himself.

Nobody knows what he did.

In the blink of an eye, a roaring fire broke out in the fireplace, and the surroundings quickly became warm.

"How are you feeling, Harry?" Hagrid said with a smile, "Much better, aren't you?"

"Yes," Harry said, looking a little hesitant. "I'm sorry, but I really don't know who you are."

Hagrid said, "Just call me Hagrid, that's what everyone calls me. I'm the Hogwarts Keeper of Keys, you know Hogwarts, right?"

"That magic school?"

Harry glanced at the letter he had been clutching.

"That's right, so you already received it."

Hagrid touched his jacket pocket, where there was an identical letter, but now it seemed there was no need to take it out again.

"It was delivered by a very large owl," Harry explained. "It's bigger than any bird I've ever seen."

"Oh, that's Sai... well, it's called Ladon now."

Hagrid took a greasy, slightly charred sausage from the tongs and handed it to Harry.

"Ladon? Is that the owl's name?"

Harry took the sausage and took a bite. The rich aroma made him involuntarily squint his eyes. He had never eaten anything so delicious in his life.

"Yes, it likes the name."

Hagrid seemed to have thought of something, and his expression looked somewhat disappointed.

However, this disappointment quickly disappeared, and no one present, including Harry, noticed it.

"Oh, I almost forgot... Happy birthday, Harry."

Hagrid took a brown paper box from his inside jacket pocket. "It might have been slightly damaged by me, but it still tastes just as delicious."

"For me?"

Harry could hardly believe he was receiving a gift on his birthday.

He opened the box, and inside was a large cream cake.

The cake had been squeezed and looked flat, and the green syrup on top was a bit blurry because it had gotten onto the box, but you could still vaguely make out "Happy Birthday" and his name.

"Try it and see how it is," Hagrid said with some anticipation.

Harry nodded, scooped up a small piece of cream and syrup, and put it in his mouth.

Sweet... sweeter than anything he had ever eaten, like stuffing a whole jar of candy into his mouth.

"And this too." Hagrid placed a toffee next to the cake.

"Candy?!" Harry's eyes lit up, but he didn't eat any.

Because of that piece of cake, he couldn't eat anything sweet for the time being, while Dudley next to him swallowed hard, his eyes fixed on the cake.

He hadn't eaten anything all day and was starving.

"You're not allowed to eat anything of his, Dudley!"

Vernon said sternly, then looked at Hagrid, "Listen carefully, I'm not going to spend money to teach him magic tricks."

Hagrid smiled dismissively.

Do you think Harry Potter would be unable to go to Hogwarts because he lacks Galleon? Don't be ridiculous.

But Uncle Vernon didn't know this, and he kept arguing relentlessly.

It was at this moment that Harry learned that his aunt and uncle's family had known about the magic school all along, but had kept it from him.

"Ah!"

Suddenly, a piercing scream came from behind them.

Aunt Petunia hugged Dudley like a madwoman, and his tongue began to swell rapidly, soon growing to be four feet long.

Uncle Vernon, no longer caring about arguing with Hagrid, roared and charged forward, seemingly wanting to shove his tongue back into Dudley's mouth.

Dudley covered his mouth, screaming in pain.

The entire small house instantly descended into chaos.

Hagrid looked at Dudley, then at the umbrella in his hand, completely bewildered.

Did he just use magic?

No, I don't think so!

But if it weren't for him, how could that child have suddenly become like this?

Could it be that the broken wand misfired? But it's never done this before!

Harry watched in stunned silence.

No further explanation was needed; he now completely believed in magic.

The magic was simply amazing; he hadn't even noticed what Hagrid had done, Dudley had turned into that state.

Harry's eyes lit up. The Hogwarts Keeper of Keys? He must be a very powerful wizard!
