Remember, there are no trolls at Hogwarts
Next, Kyle sat in the common lounge, keeping a close eye on the Marauder's Map.
About ten minutes later, Quirrell's name finally appeared on the Marauder's Map.
Kyle's eyes lit up, and he got up and left the common room.
On the Marauder's Map, Quirrell didn't go to the Great Hall, but instead wandered around the castle.
Kyle followed behind him, but to avoid being discovered, the two... or rather the three of them, were separated by a corridor.
With the Marauder's Map in hand, there's no fear of losing them.
After wandering around for a while, Quirrell finally stopped. Kyle looked around and then hid in an empty classroom next door.
A few minutes later, Quirrell's name began to appear rapidly in the direction of the Great Hall.
Once he was sure the boy was far away, Kyle immediately left the empty classroom, crossed the empty side corridor ahead, and hurried toward the place where Quirrell had been.
As soon as he turned the corner, a stench assaulted Kyle's nostrils.
The smell was even more intoxicating than Mikel's Potions; even though Kyle was prepared, the stench made him see black for a moment.
He then heard a low grumbling sound and the sound of huge feet dragging on the ground.
Not far in front of Kyle, a colossal creature, a full twelve feet tall, was moving toward them.
Its skin was dull and gray, like granite, and it had a small head the size of a walnut on its head, which made it look huge and clumsy.
In addition, its short legs are as thick as tree stumps, and below them are flat, rough, calloused feet.
That nauseating stench was coming from it.
Kyle recognized it at a glance; this huge creature was the Troll he was looking for.
Moreover, it is the largest Mountain Troll.
"I'm rich!" Kyle excitedly, taking two steps forward.
Kyle's movement was noticed by the Troll, who roared and quickened its pace.
Since they were traveling in both directions, the human and the Troll soon met.
The Troll roared again, then raised the wooden club in its hand, seemingly wanting to smash the ant blocking its way.
"Wait a minute, I can take you to get something to eat!" Kyle said loudly.
The shout worked; the Troll immediately stopped moving, tilting his walnut-shaped head as he tried to figure out what the words meant.
"You're hungry, I'll take you to get something to eat!"
Kyle repeated it again.
"Have a meal!"
This time, the Troll understood.
It put down the wooden stick in its hand and made a series of unintelligible grunts.
"Yes, let's eat!" Kyle forced himself to endure the stench and tried his best to appear friendly, saying each word clearly, "Come with me, I'll take you there!"
He tried taking a step back, and the Troll immediately followed.
"It's done!"
Kyle was overjoyed and quickly took out a box, opened it, and placed it on the ground.
Next, all you need to do is find an opportunity for the Troll to step on the box.
Kyle held his breath and took two more steps back.
But then, an unexpected event occurred.
"Ah!"
A piercing scream made the Troll instantly drop its raised foot.
It awkwardly turned around, blinking foolishly, trying to figure out what was making the sound.
It soon saw it; it was a tiny brown dot.
"Ah!!"
Hermione screamed even louder when she realized the Troll had discovered her.
The Troll pounded its head with its palm in pain, and in its ugly little eyes, Hermione's image gradually transformed into a round, Augurey.
In an instant, the Troll lost its reason.
It forgot about Kyle's presence and began walking towards Hermione.
"I..."
"***!"
Kyle was completely numb.
He was just one step away from having the Troll, when Hermione suddenly appeared and ruined his plans completely.
She was in the restroom... Why did she come out? Couldn't she cry a little longer?!
Kyle punched the wall in frustration and chased after the troll, shouting words like "eat" and "food" in an attempt to attract Troll attention again.
In any case, he certainly couldn't just stand by and watch Hermione die.
But for some reason, the Troll seemed to have decided on Hermione, ignoring everything Kyle said.
Worse still, out of fear, Hermione's legs buckled and she fell to the ground.
She huddled against the wall, looking as if she might faint at any moment.
The Troll approached her step by step, raising the wooden club in its hand as it went.
"What kind of mess is this?!"
Kyle sighed and raised his wand.
"Wingardium Leviosa!"
The wooden stick suddenly flew out of the Troll's hand, rose high into the air, then slowly turned around and fell down to hit its master on the head.
With a loud bang, the Troll swayed in place, then fell face down to the ground, the sound shaking the entire corridor.
Hermione sat there, dumbfounded, and asked, "Is it... dead?"
"Pah! How could you repay kindness with enmity!"
Kyle quickly went over and checked on the Troll.
Thankfully, my heart is still beating.
Kyle breathed a sigh of relief.
He really didn't want to do it this way if he could.
The Troll may be stupid, but at least it can understand what he's saying. Who knows if this blow will destroy even the little bit of intelligence it has left?
That's not the outcome Kyle wanted to see.
But it's no use saying all this now.
Kyle summoned the box on the ground, preparing to stuff the Troll inside, but then he thought for a moment and took out his wand first.
"Scouring Charm!"
"Scourgify!"
After casting several cleansing spells, the Troll became much cleaner, and the stench lessened considerably.
Kyle had intended to continue, but the sudden sound of hurried footsteps from nearby made him abandon the idea and quickly stuff the Troll into the box.
"Remember, you didn't see anything." Kyle looked at Hermione, his expression serious. "There was no Troll. You fell by accident, understand?"
Hermione stared wide-eyed and nodded blankly.
"Very good."
Kyle, carrying the suitcase, helped Hermione up as if nothing had happened.
Hermione!
"Thank goodness, so you were here!"
Harry and Ron came running up from the other side of the corridor.
"There's Troll in the underground classroom!"
Harry, panting, said, "Headmaster Dumbledore told us all to go back to our dormitories, you... um? Kyle, you're here too?"
"Yes, I was just on my way to the Great Hall when I ran into Miss Granger here."
Kyle chuckled and asked, "You just said there's Troll in the underground classroom? What's going on? How could Troll possibly exist at Hogwarts?"
"Yes, I promise I'm not joking."
Ron quickly replied, "Professor Quirrell told us that he fainted right after saying that at the Halloween party."
"Really... that's really dangerous."
Kyle said with a serious expression, "Troll are not something we can handle. I'm leaving now, and you should all head back to the tower quickly."
Hermione didn't say a word the whole time; she looked at Kyle, utterly shocked.
That calm expression, that composed tone...
If she hadn't personally experienced everything that just happened, she would definitely have believed that Kyle was telling the truth.
Why is he so skilled at it?
Is this person really the top student in the grade?
