Professor Flitwick's face was extremely serious, and he was very tense, as if a runaway Dragon might suddenly appear around him at any moment.

Some of the older students went up to ask what had happened, but Professor Flitwick said nothing, only urging them to return to the castle as soon as possible.

Everyone was discussing what had happened, and based on past experience, the most likely culprit was Quirrell, the Professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts.

"I'm sure it's him!" Gemma Farley said confidently. "Almost all the major events that have happened at Hogwarts before have been related to the Professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts."

"And Professor Quirrell didn't come to the game today." Someone immediately chimed in, "I remember he said he really liked Quidditch during the last game, there's no reason he wouldn't come!"

"Do you think Professor Quirrell might be a dark wizard like Oren from last year?" someone asked worriedly.

"He could also be a Death Eaters!"

"Stop talking, I feel so cold..."

"Let's hurry back to the castle. Professor Dumbledore is there; even if the Death Eaters come, it won't make a difference."

"Yes..."

The young wizards swarmed into the castle, finally feeling much more at ease.

Kyle was also in the crowd, but instead of returning to the common room with the others, he took advantage of Professor Sprout's inattention and slipped into the Gryffindor group.

"Kyle?" Fred and George spotted him immediately and asked excitedly, "Do you know something?"

"Tell me quickly, if you have any plans, don't forget to call me and Fred!"

"I'm sorry, Fred, George ..."

On the stairs, Kyle whispered to them, "I need to check some things now, I don't have time to talk much, could you cover for me?"

The twins frowned. Although they didn't know what Kyle was up to, they still stepped aside and stood behind him.

The two deliberately propped their shoulders up, just enough to block the view from behind.

Thanks.

Kyle whispered something, then took the opportunity to bend down and cast Disillusionment Charm on himself, before quietly leaving the group on the third floor.

"Merlin ... that's the Disillusionment Charm!" Fred blurted out. "I've always wanted to learn this spell."

George waved his arm in front of him, but touched nothing.

"Kyle's only in second grade, and he's already learned the Disillusionment Charm!"

"How many more things is he hiding from us?!"

On the other side, after leaving the others behind, Kyle carefully made his way to the door of Moaning Myrtle's Bathroom, hugging the wall.

He first glanced at the quill pen clipped to the crack in the door, and only breathed a sigh of relief after confirming that it was intact.

Thankfully... it shouldn't be Basilisk.

"Who's here? Come out, I see you!"

Suddenly, a round head poked out from the middle of the door panel.

"It's me, Moaning Myrtle." Kyle removed the Disillusionment Charm and appeared before her.

"It's you, Kyle," Moaning Myrtle said with a grin. "Have you finally decided to share a bathroom with me?"

"I'm sorry, I don't have that plan at the moment."

Kyle shook his head and said, "I came here to ask if anyone has been here recently?"

"You?"

I meant other people.

"Then that's it." Moaning Myrtle started crying again as she spoke. "No one will come here. Who would like an ugly, pitiful, sullen, Moaning Myrtle?"

They weren't even willing to linger at the door for a moment longer.

Kyle said somewhat awkwardly, "Um... at least Peeves seems to like you."

Moaning Myrtle cried even harder after Kyle said that.

The piercing wails echoed in the third-floor corridor, sending a chill down Kyle's spine.

To avoid attracting attention, he quickly changed the subject, saying, "By the way, didn't I make you an anti- Peeves device before? How's it? Does it work?"

"I don't know, that jerk hasn't been here for a long time."

Moaning Myrtle's emotions were like a tap; they could stop flowing at any moment.

She glanced back into the bathroom and said with some skepticism, "But did what you did really work...? Spreading a dozen books on the floor will actually get rid of that jerk?"

"Of course... Besides, those aren't books, they're specially made fireworks."

Kyle laughed and said, "As soon as Peeves opens the door, the whole castle will hear it, and that'll scare him away."

"Well then... I'll head back now."

Knowing that what happened in the castle had nothing to do with the Basilisk, Kyle prepared to leave, as it would be troublesome if Professor Sprout discovered he was not there.

"Oh, okay..."

Moaning Myrtle said regretfully, "If you change your mind, you can move in anytime."

Upon hearing this, Kyle quickened his pace.

When he returned to the entrance to the Hufflepuff Common Room, Professor Sprout was just coming out.

"Oh, Kyle ... thank goodness you're alright." She said sternly, her face stern. "Where did you go? Why didn't you come back with everyone?"

This was the first time Kyle had ever seen her so angry, and he said somewhat guiltily, "Professor, I was just... well, a little worried... so I stayed outside a little longer to see if I could be of any help."

Just as Kyle was desperately trying to come up with an excuse, Professor Sprout suddenly sighed and said, "Who told you this, Minerva?"

"What?" Kyle was taken aback, not understanding what she meant.

Professor Sprout seemed to have misunderstood something. She said softly, "I understand. You and Hagrid have a good relationship, so it's normal to be worried when you suddenly hear that he is seriously injured."

But you're just a second-year wizard. Right now, the most important thing is to protect yourself. Madam Pomfrey will heal Hagrid."

"What did you say! Hagrid is seriously injured... Excuse me, I mean, can you tell me how he is now?"

Kyle truly hadn't expected that it would be Hagrid who got into trouble.

"I can only say it wasn't bad." Professor Sprout thought for a moment, then shook his head and said, "When we found Hagrid at the edge of the Forbidden Forest, he had many traces of Dark Magic on him."

If he weren't so physically strong, he probably would have died long ago.

Don't worry, he's been taken to the Hospital Wing now, he'll definitely be fine."

"Thank you, I understand." Kyle asked, "Professor, may I go see him?"

"Not now!"

Professor Sprout gave Kyle a stern look.

"Until Dumbledore returns from the Forbidden Forest, all of you must remain in the common room and are not allowed to go anywhere."

"Now, you should go back!"
