Treasure Boy Voldemort
The small room was in a mess, with scorch marks everywhere from the Fiendfyre, and even the Mirror of Erised was not spared.
The gold frame was mostly melted, the mirror surface was gray and cracked everywhere.
Quirrell is gone.
The moment he touched Harry, his body began to rapidly turn black, like a plaster statue drained of its moisture, until he vanished into nothingness.
At the very moment of his death, Voldemort transformed into a ghostly figure and burst out of the room.
At this point, only Harry, Kyle, and Dumbledore, who had just arrived, remained.
Upon entering the room, Dumbledore frowned and gave Kyle a deep look.
But after a moment he looked away and said with a smile, "If I'm not mistaken, you were just about to use the Finite Incantatem ' technique, weren't you?"
It seems Professor Flitwick was right, you have indeed mastered this spell, which is no easy feat."
I just happened to see it in the library during the holidays.
Kyle helped Harry, who had collapsed to the ground, to his feet. "Actually, I can't guarantee I'll succeed every time. Luckily, you came..."
"No need for modesty, Kyle."
Dumbledore blinked and said, "Did I say that before? You are the most outstanding young wizard I have ever met... and you always bring me new surprises."
"You flatter me," Kyle said somewhat embarrassedly. "If it weren't for your improvement of this spell, Professor, I probably wouldn't even have had the chance to learn it. You are the true master."
"What you said makes me blush a little..." Dumbledore laughed, "It was just a coincidence, and it wasn't all my doing."
Just as the two were exchanging pleasantries, Harry, who was lying on the ground, suddenly stretched out his arm, albeit shakily.
He felt he could still be saved...
The effects of Quirrell's actions hadn't completely disappeared; the excruciating pain prevented Harry from uttering a complete sentence.
If possible, he really wanted to go to the Hospital Wing first.
"Oh, Harry... I'm sorry." Dumbledore quickly led him toward the Hospital Wing.
Kyle left with them.
Upon returning to the castle, Dumbledore suddenly paused, turned around, and said, "Fiendfyre is a very dangerous form of Dark Magic; its effects are not limited to just burning."
If you don't have anything else to do next, I suggest you also go to the Hospital Wing for a check-up.
"Okay, Professor." Kyle nodded. "But before that, may I go back to my dorm? Cedric and the others must be worried sick."
"I understand..." Dumbledore said, "But remember to be quick."
After saying that, he took Harry and left.
But Kyle didn't go back to the dormitory; instead, he went to the second floor, to Moaning Myrtle's Bathroom.
After seeing Voldemort, he suddenly remembered something.
Basilisk...
Kyle had always believed that one needed Slytherin blood to control the Basilisk, but he realized he might be wrong.
If Riddle was Basilisk controlled by bloodline fifty years ago, what about fifty years later...?
Newt once said that all man-made organisms share a common characteristic.
In order to better control these dangerous creatures and avoid being devoured, the creators would forcibly instill a certain will into them from the very beginning.
This also leads to their brains being very chaotic, and this is especially true for more powerful creatures.
Basilisk are no exception, so it's impossible for them to remember a wizard's face and voice for a long time.
Even if the Basilisk in the Chamber of Secrets had been asleep for fifty years, its memory would be completely erased if it only slept for five days.
The diary doesn't even mention Riddle's physical body, so how could he possibly control the Basilisk?
But if it's a soul... why can't Harry have one!
As the last Horcrux, his body also contains a fragment of Voldemort's soul. In some ways, he is the same as Riddle in that diary. There's no reason why this wouldn't work!
Kyle felt he had guessed the crux of the problem...
Before the effects of Felix Felicis wore off, he was eager to test it.
Moreover, Felix Felicis told him that he should come here.
Reaching the bathroom door, Kyle quickly removed the quill pen stuck in the crack of the door, pushed it open, and went inside.
Moaning Myrtle wasn't here; the washroom was very quiet.
Kyle skillfully opened the passage to the Chamber of Secrets, mounted his broom, and rushed inside.
The passageway was still dark and damp, but Kyle no longer felt the nervousness of his first time here.
He rode his broom and arrived at the stone wall as quickly as possible, then entered the Chamber of Secrets.
Kyle looked at the Slytherin statue and, whether it was his imagination or not, felt that the statue seemed a little different from the one he had seen last time.
But he couldn't pinpoint exactly what was wrong; he just vaguely felt that the statue seemed more lifelike.
But that shouldn't be possible... This statue has been here for over a thousand years, why would it suddenly change!
Kyle stared intently at the statue's eyes, wanting to examine them more closely.
But the next second, he suddenly remembered that Dumbledore was still waiting for him at the Hospital Wing.
If he lingers too long here, Dumbledore might come looking for him in his dormitory, and that would be troublesome.
"Never mind, there's no time. Let's talk about it later."
Kyle, regaining his senses, patted his head, feeling much more awake.
He then looked away from the statue, opened the box, and gathered the remaining dozen or so roosters at the entrance, feeding them each Invigoration Draught.
After doing all this, Kyle looked at the statue's face again, opened his mouth, and made a hissing sound.
This is the most important Parseltongue he learned a long time ago...
"Speak to me, Slytherin ...the greatest of the Hogwarts Founders."
Slytherin's enormous stone face began to move; his mouth opened, and opened wider and wider until it formed a huge black hole.
Something inside the statue awoke and began to rustle as it slid upwards.
"Stop!" Kyle shouted with his eyes closed.
His hands gripped the box tightly.
This was a test.
If the Basilisk ignores him and continues to crawl outwards, then he must open the box immediately.
Although a dozen or so roosters are less powerful, they can still pose a deadly threat to the Basilisk.
Kyle's heart began to pound; he had never been so nervous before.
It seemed like only a moment, yet also like a long time had passed, when Kyle suddenly realized that the faint crawling sound inside the statue had disappeared.
The Basilisk really stopped moving.
A cold, hoarse voice came from inside the statue.
"As you command... Master..."
It's done!
Kyle excitedly clutched his chest.
His earlier guess was correct; the Basilisk was merely a Fantastic Beasts, unable to recognize Slytherin blood and soul. What truly controlled it... was the Parseltongue that opened the statue!
That Parseltongue must have been recorded in a special way, perhaps at Hogwarts, or somewhere else... but Kyle was certain that only a true Slytherin descendant could find it.
Find the Parseltongue, then use the Parseltongue to open the Chamber of Secrets, and you can become the master of the Basilisk!
First the Horcrux -making method, and now the Basilisk... Voldemort is truly a treasure trove!
That "professor" was totally worth it!
