Lucius's Rage
In the afternoon, Fred and George visited Ron at the Hospital Wing with a big bag full of candy.
Kyle went along too.
At the entrance of the Hospital Wing, two groups of people stood like gatekeepers on either side of the main gate.
On the left are the strong Gryffindor led by Oliver Wood, and on the right are the Slytherin Quidditch Team led by Marcus Flint.
They had come to visit her in the hospital, but because there were too many of them, and they were making a lot of noise when they arrived, Madam Pomfrey didn't let them in at all.
So they were stuck at the doorway, staring at each other fiercely, each trying to kill the other with their eyes.
The arrival of Kyle and his two companions immediately drew attention. Under the watchful eyes of more than a dozen pairs of people, they cautiously knocked on the door of the Hospital Wing.
"What are you still doing here!" Madam Pomfrey opened the door and glared at Oliver Wood and Flint with great displeasure upon seeing the large group of people outside.
Quidditch players inevitably get injured during games or training, so the two of them were frequent visitors to the Hospital Wing and had a natural reverence for Madam Pomfrey.
Startled by her shout, the two didn't dare linger any longer and quickly left the corridor where the Hospital Wing was located with the others.
As for the Kyle and Weasley brothers... Madam Pomfrey eventually let them in, using their familial ties as leverage.
"No loud talking, and no disturbing others..." she instructed. "If you break any of these rules, you can forget about ever coming to the Hospital Wing again."
"Of course," Fred laughed. "We're just here to visit our brother, we promise we won't speak loudly."
"That would be best," Pomfrey said, pointing to a hospital bed against the wall on the left. "Weasley's there."
"Thanks."
The three followed the direction Madam Pomfrey pointed to the bedside, and sure enough, they saw Ron when they lifted the curtain.
There were only two people staying in the entire Hospital Wing.
The bed next to him also had curtains drawn, so it must have been Malfoy.
After all, there were only the two of them in the entire Hospital Wing; the rest of the place was empty.
Whether intentionally or accidentally, Ron and Malfoy were sitting next to each other.
If it weren't for this curtain, they probably wouldn't be so quiet now.
Besides Ron, Harry and Hermione were also inside the curtain.
The atmosphere here is a bit strange, though.
Hermione and Harry both had their heads down, seemingly lost in thought, while Ron, lying in his hospital bed with bandages wrapped around his head, was comforting them.
"It's alright, it's just a curse that makes you grow horns... it's nothing."
"Malfoy had it much worse than me; he vomited slugs all morning... Haha, this is the first time I've ever cast a spell so easily. If it were an exam, I feel like I'd definitely get an 'O'."
"What a pity, Hogwarts doesn't have a Curses class..." Fred lifted the curtain and went inside.
George followed behind him, saying, "You missed your only chance to get an 'O'."
"Fred, George ..." Ron, somewhat surprised, "What brings you here?"
"That's going too far," Fred said, displeased. "Our dear brother is in the Hospital Wing, of course we have to come and visit him."
"Yes, we came back from Hogsmeade immediately after hearing about it..."
Do you think we can't come to visit you?
"No..." Ron quickly explained, "That's not what I meant... I'm sorry."
"Wait, Hogsmeade?"
Just then, Harry suddenly looked up. "Weren't you feeling unwell and told Oliver Wood you were going to the Hospital Wing? I thought you'd already been discharged and were resting in your dorms!"
"Uh..." Fred and George's expressions froze.
They had completely forgotten about it.
Don't worry about the details.
Fred quickly replied, "We went to Hogsmeade after leaving the Hospital Wing."
"That's right."
George also brought out the large bag of candy, "These are all Honeydukes's most popular products; we bought them especially for Ron."
"For me?" Ron was even more surprised.
But looking at the large bag of beautifully made candies, he thought for a moment and then shook his head, saying, "I... I don't need them, you can keep them for yourselves."
As he spoke, his throat moved slightly.
He saw it; it contained Toothflossing Stringmints, his favorite.
But how to put it... since last year, the things Fred and George give him are rarely normal; they all come with some kind of side effect, so Ron is hesitant to accept them.
Fred seemed to have read his thoughts and laughed, "Don't worry, there won't be any problems this time, we guarantee it."
"If you don't believe me, you can ask Kyle; he can testify for us."
Kyle nodded.
These candies were Ron's reward for bravely raising his wand against Slytherin; naturally, there was nothing else inside.
But even if it happens, it doesn't matter... Ron has been tricked more than once or twice, so one more time won't make a difference!
Harry, standing next to him, frowned, as if he wanted to say something more.
But George spoke first, "By the way, Harry, I heard you were handing out autographed photos. How come Fred and I didn't get any?"
"I am not, and I didn't!"
Harry was furious and immediately forgot about their leave of absence.
"These are all rumors spread by Lockhart. I have never posted any autographed photos!"
"Ha, that's a shame," Fred said with a wink and a smile.
It must be said that Fred and George are really good at livening up the atmosphere.
The somber atmosphere quickly dissipated after they arrived.
Even Hermione, with her complicated feelings, was drawn to the demon-proof eyes they presented.
It was bought from Dervish and Banges; it's a glass bead about the size of the Golden Snitch, used to find howling banshees disguised as ordinary people.
Hermione has almost no resistance to these novel magical items.
Kyle also took out the automatic inkjet quill pen that he had made in advance.
He originally intended to give this to Hermione as a Christmas present, but it's perfect to give it to her now.
Ron also received a Impervius badge just like Harry's.
The group didn't stay in the Hospital Wing for long, perhaps because laughter kept coming from behind the curtain, and they were reported.
"Malfoy told me you were disturbing his rest."
Madam Pomfrey said in a deep voice, "Therefore I must ask all of you to leave!"
"Wait... his voice is louder!"
Ron said with dissatisfaction, "Ever since I lay here, that Pansy Parkinson's sarcastic voice has never stopped."
"So they'll have to leave soon too."
Madam Pomfrey said sternly, "In fact, visiting hours are over. If you still want to see him, you'd all have to leave now!"
There was nothing they could do; Madam Pomfrey had said so, they could only say goodbye to Ron and leave the Hospital Wing.
When they arrived at the Pendulum Courtyard, they happened to run into Lucius Malfoy, who had just come out of the castle.
However, he didn't look too good; he seemed to still be angry.
Lucius noticed them too...
"Oh... Weasley."
He stopped, looked at Fred and George, and said in a drawn-out tone, "Your family is certainly quite clever, but believe me, ' Weasley ' won't always be this lucky."
This incident, coupled with the conflict at Flourish and Blotts, made Lucius even less inclined to pretend this time. He looked at Fred and George with eyes full of malice.
Thank you for reminding me...
Fred and George also stopped smiling.
"But you should take care of your own family matters first."
"I never knew that Malfoy's upbringing was so... simple?"
"This is truly eye-opening!"
Lucius instinctively tightened his grip on his cane.
To prevent him from acting recklessly and suddenly attacking Fred and George, Kyle tensed up and calmly placed his hand on his wand.
Fortunately, Lucius hadn't let his anger cloud his judgment. He knew they were at Hogwarts Dumbledore was nearby... perhaps even watching them right now.
Under these circumstances, he naturally wouldn't dare to do anything out of line.
"Hmph... we'll see!"
After uttering those harsh words, Lucius left without looking back.
