With Mrs. Norris's shrill screams, all the young wizards were drawn to her.

Kyle, under the Disillusionment Charm, stood at the very back, calmly observing everything that was about to happen.

Just as they remembered, people found Filch and Harry on the third floor and made him their heir...

The professors arrived and took Filch, Harry, and the other two away. The Prefect then led the students back to the common room.

After the crowd gradually dispersed, Kyle awkwardly realized that he seemed to have nowhere to go.

He definitely can't go back to his dorm, but it's only Halloween, and there are still several months until his usual time. What is he going to do in the meantime? He can't just keep wandering around the castle.

Kyle walked up the stairs to the Seventh Floor.

Moaning Myrtle was still in the washroom, and "he" would be there soon, so he knew he couldn't go back to the Chamber of Secrets now. He decided to go to the Room of Requirement.

It seems like that's the only place we can go now.

"I need a place to rest."

A door appeared in the middle of the corridor. Kyle opened it and went inside... In an instant, all his previous worries vanished.

The room was incredibly grand.

The spacious four-poster bed is more than three times larger than the ones in the dormitory; it's soft and comfortable, and once you lie down, you don't want to get up.

In front of the bed was a similarly large desk, on which sat parchment, quills, and ink.

Further ahead are different rooms: a dining room, a washroom, a study, and more.

Kyle even saw Crystal Wizard's Chess, Exploding Snap, and various Broomstick in one room... it's just that these brooms were a bit old-fashioned, the best being only a Cleansweep Five.

But that doesn't matter, after all, who plays with Broomstick in their room... Kyle certainly wouldn't.

The ceiling, like the one in the Great Hall, was enchanted, but unlike the auditorium, it could be adjusted at will.

If Kyle wanted, he could fill this place with sunshine all day, lie in bed and watch the stars, or drink tea and read a book while listening to the rain...

It's absolutely perfect.

As for the problem of food, that's easy to solve too; the House-elf in the kitchen can deliver food anywhere.

Kyle looked around and suddenly felt that a few months was a bit too short. If he could, he would even like to stay here until he graduates... and then casually apply for a professorship and come back to live here again.

Although this is somewhat unlikely.

After finding a place to stay, Kyle returned to the castle and found Peeves on the sixth floor, who was drawing a turtle on a suit of armor with a small brush.

"That diary?" Peeves tilted his head and thought for a moment. "I threw it away... That Sickle useful; it made the little devil shout so loudly."

Kyle's eye twitched. "Where did you throw it...?"

"I don't know," Peeves said matter-of-factly.

"A box of Dungbomb!"

Peeves shook his head again, "I really don't remember. Who would care about something thrown out?"

You can look for it yourself; it might be on the third floor, or the fifth floor, or the seventh floor..."

Throughout the entire night, Kyle risked being discovered by the professor, searching almost every floor.

As dawn broke, Kyle, having found nothing, returned to the Room of Requirement on the Seventh Floor.

The diary is lost, and nobody knows where it is now.

Kyle sat down at his desk, recalling Peeves ' last words.

"That redhead got so scared he tripped and fell, Harry Potter threatened to go find Bloody Baron, and then I ran away... that bastard."

Redhead, and Harry Potter... According to Peeves, the last person to be hit should be Ron, and the diary should have been taken away by one of them.

Harry? Or Ron?

Kyle stood up and lay down on the soft, large bed.

He had thought he was the rightful heir, but now it seems he isn't.

The Basilisk suddenly emerged from the bathroom earlier was probably just a coincidence.

He had summoned the Basilisk in the Chamber of Secrets before, which means that the entrance to the statue had already been opened at that time.

However, the sudden appearance of the Four Founders made him completely forget about the matter.

The Basilisk must have followed him out after he left the Chamber of Secrets.

And what Riddle said.

Cowardly... weak... future servant...

The only one who could perfectly fit these descriptions is probably Peter Pettigrew, the mouse next to Ron.

Could it be him?

For the next period of time, Kyle stayed at the Room of Requirement.

Peace remained undisturbed within the castle; everything was just as I remembered.

And just like that, November arrived quickly.

The first Quidditch Match, the day Professor Charity Burbage was attacked, saw Kyle leave the Room of Requirement early and go to the Chamber of Secrets.

Kyle had thought he would have to wait until evening, but less than two hours later, he heard a rustling sound outside.

Kyle quickly hid in the shadows near the gate.

The door opened, Riddle floated in like a ghost, followed by a rat.

"Peter ...you really should find a magic wand."

Riddle said softly, "I really don't understand. You can even learn Animagus, so why can't you turn back without a wand?"

The mouse stopped and kept banging its head against the floor.

"Don't be nervous, Peter. I don't know what my future holds, but right now, I don't mean to blame you."

"You've done very well," Riddle said. "You're an excellent follower."

He pointed to the diary, and the mouse quickly climbed up.

The rat's fur had become somewhat duller, but Riddle's figure was now clearer.

"As a reward..." Riddle, looking at the increasingly intently staring body, opened his arms wide, somewhat intoxicated, "Close your eyes, Peter!"

The mouse immediately lowered its head.

Riddle hissed... and summoned the Basilisk.

"Go! Purify the school! Kill those Mudblood!"

By this time, Kyle had already quietly slipped out of the Chamber of Secrets under the cover of the Disillusionment Charm.

The Basilisk a great commotion, and neither Riddle nor the rat noticed that there had been an extra person in the Chamber of Secrets.

Sure enough, it was the mouse that got the diary.

Upon returning to the castle, Kyle did not linger but went directly to the site of the second attack.

It's also on the third floor.

Charity Burbage wasn't watching the Quidditch Match; he was carrying a lawnmower and heading towards his office.

But as he walked, he suddenly heard a strange scraping sound, as if something huge was crawling on the ground.

The sound was coming from another corridor ahead.

Unaware of the situation, Professor Burbage quickened his pace, wanting to go and check on things.
