As the only injured person in the Dementor attack, Harry will have to stay at the Hospital Wing for the entire weekend.

People came to see him in droves, all eager to make him happy, but Harry found it hard to smile.

His broom broke; it was smashed in two.

Yes, falling from a height of fifty feet would definitely cause serious injury.

Harry had already thought of this when he first woke up, but seeing the shards of the broom still made him feel a pang of sadness.

Although Oliver Wood told him it could be fixed, and that he could make it look brand new again by spending some gold in Diagon Alley.

But he can't go to Diagon Alley at all now... He can't even go to Hogsmeade.

Besides that, there was another thing that also concerned Harry.

In the first Divination Class, Professor Trelawney saw an ominous sign in his Divination results, which was the image of a black dog.

During the game, there happened to be a black dog like this in the stands... and then he fell from a height of fifty feet.

Harry didn't mention it to anyone, not even Ron or Hermione, because he knew Ron would panic and Hermione would scoff; he knew his two friends too well.

He wanted genuine, honest advice because the black dog had appeared twice, and each time it was accompanied by deadly danger.

The last time he appeared was before the start of the school year, when he was almost hit by the Knight Bus. This time, he fell off the Broomstick.

He'll probably have to be wary of that beast from now on, won't he?

And Dementor...

Harry sat silently on the hospital bed, listening absentmindedly as Hermione told him about the funny things that happened at school.

Kyle's Dragon Scale Badge has become highly sought after again.

"I don't think this stuff is very useful, but most people say it's very effective."

Hermione fiddled with the badge on her chest. "Dean Thomas said he didn't sense Dementor at all, but in fact, he almost cried before the Patronus appeared."

I was right there and saw it all clearly.

"But how do you explain Neville's situation?"

Ron retorted, "He wore two, and he looked so much better than he did on the train. He even came to visit Harry."

"Perhaps he's already become familiar with the effects of Dementor," Hermione said. "It has nothing to do with whether he wears the badge or not."

Ron clearly disagreed, stating seriously, "Everyone knows that there's no easy way to describe this kind of thing; it only gets more and more terrifying."

Listening to their conversation, Harry suddenly wondered if Kyle could give him some advice about that elusive black dog.

He also wanted to ask about how to deal with Dementor... specifically, the Patronus Charm, which he remembered Professor McGonagall mentioning before.

This opportunity came very quickly.

When Harry returned to school on Monday, he happened to see Kyle and Cedric walking toward the Great Hall.

He quickly stepped forward and took the opportunity to ask his question.

"Black dog?"

"Yes," Harry said. "I saw it from the stands and then it fell from a height of fifty feet. I was wondering if there was any solution."

You probably don't know this, but I also saw it on Magnolia Crescent... If it were an ordinary dog, it certainly wouldn't have been able to chase me all the way from Privet Drive to Hogwarts, right?

"Well..."

Cedric pondered for a moment, "Is it possible that you've mistaken it for someone else? After all, if the breed, size, and coat color are similar, it's difficult for us to tell if they're the same dog."

"This..."

Harry hesitated for a moment. It was quite dark, and he had only glanced at it briefly before being interrupted by the sudden appearance of the Knight Bus. There was indeed a possibility that he had mistaken it for something else.

But isn't this a bit too much of a coincidence?

"I'm not familiar with the situation on Privet Drive,"

At that moment, Kyle suddenly said, "But the one you found in the stands should be a good dog... Isn't it big, and its fur is all matted, like it hasn't had a bath in ages?"

"You've seen it too?" Harry asked in surprise.

"It was when I went to Hogsmeade Village last time."

Kyle laughed, "It was lying in front of a shop, and I even played with it for a while. I think it probably wandered over from there."

"What?" Harry was still a little confused. "You mean it's a pet kept in Hogsmeade Village, not an ominous creature?"

"If a black dog signifies bad luck, then what about Hagrid?" Kyle said. "Don't forget, Fang is black too."

Only after being reminded like that did Harry realize that this was indeed the case.

Fang is Hagrid's black hound, and you can see him every time he goes to his Care of Magical Creatures...

"And..." Kyle continued, "That dog is very intelligent and knows how to do things like roll over, shake hands, and jump through hoops of fire."

You can try it next time you see it; it's really fun.

"I highly recommend the backflip," Cedric said. "I dare say even some well-trained Swallow-tailed Dog can't execute it as perfectly."

"I think jumping through hoops of fire would be fun too," Kyle said. "Making three hoops of different sizes would feel like playing a different kind of Quidditch."

Listening to their conversation, Harry's disgust and fear of the black dog gradually disappeared.

If many people see it, perhaps it really is just an ordinary dog, like Fang.

And this dog was doing things like jumping through hoops of fire and backflips... Harry suddenly felt a little curious. Was that dog really as smart as Kyle said?

Unfortunately, he couldn't go to Hogsmeade Village, but he could tell Ron and Hermione and ask them to go look for it.

"Oh, right," Kyle reminded him, "If you want to see it perform, remember to bring some food, otherwise that lazy dog won't move."

Harry nodded, indicating that he understood.

"There's one more thing," he said. "Could you teach me how to use that Patronus Charm ... I don't want to faint again next time I see Dementor."

"Well..." Kyle hesitated for a moment, then shook his head and said, "Although I would love to teach you, I might not have that much time lately."

With three training sessions a week, plus other activities, my free time is almost completely filled.

Harry was somewhat disappointed.

But Kyle quickly added, "However, you can go to Professor Lupin; he knows this spell too."

"Yes, Professor Lupin!" Harry exclaimed excitedly. "Hermione told me he made the Dementor on the train back off."

"Thank you, Kyle."

Harry didn't even eat his meal and rushed to Professor Lupin's office.
