Fortunately, Diana's gaze did not linger on Kyle for long, but went straight to Peter Pettigrew.

Is that him?

"That's right." Dumbledore nodded. "Then I'll leave the rest to you, Diana. I believe you can give the innocent the truth."

"I'll do my best...if he really is the traitor who betrayed Lily," Diana said softly. "But I'll have to wait a little longer; I'm missing an important item...oh, they're here."

As she spoke, she turned to look towards the door.

Two more wizards dressed in identical black cloaks walked in from outside, and in front of them was a square water tank floating in mid-air.

The tank was filled with a dark green liquid and looked about the size of a suitcase, as if it could be lifted with one hand. However, the two people seemed to struggle to carry it over.

Not only was his hand holding the wand trembling, but there was also a fine layer of sweat on his forehead.

Some of the younger employees were skeptical after witnessing this.

They're exhausted from carrying such a small item? Is this the level of the Unspeakable from the Department of Mysteries? Any random student from Hogwarts in their third year or higher would be better than them.

Unfortunately, no one explained anything to them.

The two slowly walked up to Peter Pettigrew and carefully placed the water tank on the ground.

There was a muffled thud, as if someone had thrown a difficult-to-explode bomb into the room; clearly, the weight of this thing was completely disproportionate to its size.

"That was tough..." one of them said, wiping sweat and panting, "The usage time is thirty minutes, that should be enough, right?"

"That's enough," Diana said. "Thank you, Bode, Croaker."

"It's nothing," Croaker, with his blond hair, waved his hand and said, "To be honest, I also graduated from Gryffindor, and I was only one year younger than Lily. She was indeed a good girl, but unfortunately..."

He sighed, unsure whether he was lamenting her death at the hands of Voldemort, or regretting that she ultimately married James Potter... or perhaps both.

After the two stepped aside, Diana wasted no more time. She took out her wand and gently tapped the water tank.

A ripple suddenly appeared on the calm surface of the water tank, as if something was slowly rising from the dark green water.

Kyle couldn't help but lean forward.

Finally, something white appeared.

It looks like a brain, but it's connected to many long tentacles... just like a brain-shaped jellyfish.

"This is... something that's kept in the Brain Room the Department of Mysteries." Someone couldn't help but exclaim, "I saw it there before when I went to deliver documents..."

Crouch frowned, and just as he was about to say something, Dumbledore stepped forward first.

"I think everyone is eager to know the truth, and this is the most effective way."

He bowed slightly and said, "Memories can be faked, but the soul can never be... I assure you, as a recipient of the Order of Merlin, First Class, Hogwarts Headmaster, and Chief Warlock of the Wizengamot."

The courtroom was completely silent.

After what seemed like an eternity, Fudge finally came to his senses. He tapped a hammer on the table and said, "I can guarantee that too."

"And me," Madam Bones added.

Within the Ministry of Magic, anyone holding a position of Director or higher knows more or less about the secrets of the Department of Mysteries, including the role of the Brain Room.

For certain reasons, these secrets cannot be revealed in any form, nor can they be discovered.

"Now vote on whether to allow the Unspeakable to examine the soul of Peter Pettigrew." Fudge tapped the gavel again.

"I agree." He raised his hand first, followed by Madam Bones.

On the high platform, more and more wizards raised their hands in agreement, and the number quickly exceeded half, far more than half.

For some, the only reason they agreed to send Peter Pettigrew to St Mungo's was to preserve his memories and obtain the truth.

Now that there are better options, they certainly won't object.

As for Crouch and Bichita, their silence is no longer relevant.

"Sixty-seven people agree," Madam Bones said. "Then, let's begin."

Diana nodded and used her wand to direct the jellyfish-shaped brain to float above Peter Pettigrew's head.

Everyone held their breath, watching her every move intently.

Even within the Ministry of Magic, very few people had actually witnessed Unspeakable casting this special spell, and they were all very curious.

Especially since the things in this Brain Room are related to the soul...

However, at that moment, a layer of deep blue fog appeared out of nowhere, surrounding Diana and instantly blocking everyone's view.

"What happened..."

"What's going on...?"

The courtroom erupted in chaos, with some even pulling out wands to try and dispel the blue mist.

"Please calm down, everyone," said the Unspeakable Croaker, stepping forward.

"This is a normal phenomenon. To avoid being affected by abnormal magic or other factors... I believe everyone can understand. After all, it involves the soul, and any slight mistake could have serious consequences. This is just in case."

"How are we supposed to know what happened?" someone asked coldly.

"There's no need to worry about that," Croaker said, pointing to the water tank in front of him. "Everyone just needs to watch this."

At this moment, someone noticed that a slender tentacle emerged from the thick fog and connected to the water tank.

The dark green liquid was gradually replaced by a sky-blue mist, making the water tank look just like a giant Prophecy Orb.

The clouds swirled slowly, drawing everyone's gaze.

Kyle also kept a close eye on the water tank.

A few minutes later, something else suddenly appeared in a blue cloud.

Peter Pettigrew appears in the water tank scene, looking much younger than he does now, kneeling respectfully on the ground.

But the other person who appeared in the scene made everyone gasp.

Even after twelve years, they could not forget that person's appearance: a pale face and snake-like crimson eyes.

Voldemort!

The sound of swallowing saliva could be heard from all around.

Fortunately, this scene didn't last long.

It seemed someone had used a wand to disrupt the image formed by the clouds, and when they coalesced again, Voldemort was gone.

Instead, a string of small golden characters appeared.

"I... Peter Pettigrew ...voluntarily conceal Potter Cottage No. 17 in Godric's Hollow within my soul...and promise to keep the secret...to remain silent."
