The Golden Snidget and the Bludger
The Quidditch Pitch has been incessantly quiet since the start of the game, with everyone cheering and waving colorful flags.
If you look down from the stands, you'll see that the original Quidditch Pitch was divided into three equal sections.
There are no walls or other obstructions between the areas, yet they miraculously remain completely separate and distinct from one another.
However, at this moment, a very strange scene unfolded on the field.
Krum's side was bustling with activity, as five identical Kneazle chased him all over the place, attracting countless eyes.
The scene on Phoebe's side was also quite interesting. She seemed to be performing some kind of strange dance, twirling lightly around the Kneazle, Kneazle showed no intention of attacking her. Occasionally, Phoebe would reach out and try to take the golden key from its neck, and each time the Kneazle would jump aside and assume an attacking stance.
But when Phoebe starts that strange dance again, it quiets down once more.
Some noticed that the Kneazle's reactions were getting slower and slower; at this rate, it was only a matter of time before Phoebe got the key.
Although it wasn't as loud as the one next door, the strange dance was quite interesting, and many people's eyes were glued to it.
The area where Kyle was was truly quiet... There was no exciting chase or dancing; they just saw Kyle and the Kneazle lying face to face on the ground, as if they were under Petrification Spell.
That's why, it went from being the center of attention to almost no one paying attention to it anymore.
"What on earth is Kyle doing!" Fred put down the flag he was holding that read "Support Kyle, the Hogwarts Champion," and rubbed his sore arm.
"Does the Kneazle possess Petrification Spell?" George asked.
"No, no way!"
Cedric shook his head. "The most famous thing about the Kneazle is its ability to split itself; it doesn't know any other magic..."
"A few years ago, during that Fantastic Beasts smuggling incident, my dad complained one night after drinking that they had gone to great lengths to catch all three Kneazle. I specifically looked up those Fantastic Beasts, so I remember it very clearly."
"What is he doing?" George asked.
Cedric shook his head. "I don't know either. Kyle probably has his own ideas."
On the far right, there is a row of gold chairs at the front; those are the referee's seats.
Madame Maxime leaned back slightly and asked in a low voice, "What is he doing?"
"I don't know either," said Professor Locknir, who was sitting in the back. "The boy and Scamander are very close; they probably have some special connection."
"You mean he knows how to soothe Kneazle?" Madame Maxime asked, frowning.
This was her biggest worry, because it would eliminate Beauxbatons ' advantage.
"Perhaps." Professor Locknir paused, glanced at Dumbledore, and then said as if in normal conversation, "Mr. Scamander is a remarkable master of Fantastic Beasts. I'm probably only slightly better than him in my research on Kneazle; in other areas, I'm ashamed to admit my inferiority."
"What a pity he didn't come today."
Madame Maxime nodded, understanding what he meant.
Although Lockneil only surpasses Newt in the study of Kneazle, that's enough, since their competition is all about Kneazle.
Although it's a bit of a shame that we couldn't eliminate the remaining two Champion in the first round, at least it will give Phoebe an advantage later on.
"Ah, look!"
At that moment, a surprised shout brought Olympe Maxime back to his senses, and he subconsciously looked towards the field.
Then a satisfied smile appeared on her face.
Phoebe has already obtained the golden key from the Kneazle's neck and is now running quickly towards the door.
"Oh!" came another exclamation.
Olympe Maxime initially thought something had happened on Krum's side, but upon closer inspection, he discovered that Krum was using Transfiguration Spell to distract the Kneazle.
Although that Transfiguration was impressive, it wasn't enough to elicit such a huge cheer.
She instinctively looked toward the area where Kyle was.
"What?!" The next second, Olympe Maxime jumped up from his seat.
Kyle, who had been lying on the ground as if petrified, suddenly moved.
Without warning, he lunged forward, a move that caught not only the audience but also the Kneazle completely off guard.
Under everyone's watchful eyes, Kyle swiftly ripped the golden key off its neck, as easily as taking a baked potato from a plate.
Compared to Krum, who was chased all over the field by the Kneazle and whose clothes were torn to shreds... many people couldn't help but scratch their heads in confusion.
They're actually working on the same project, isn't the difference a bit too great?
Meanwhile, on the other side of the field, Kyle, who had just received the golden key, whispered, "Now hurry up and catch up with me, that will count as completing the mission."
"And some dried Long-whiskered Barracuda. I'll put it by the edge of the woods at sunset, on the third tree behind that cabin. Remember to go quickly, or the Kneazle will eat it."
After saying that, Kyle took off running, while the Kneazle leaped after him and chased after him relentlessly.
Kyle sped up, and the Kneazle chased even faster... maintaining a distance of just a few inches between them.
"I knew it! I knew it!" Fred exclaimed excitedly, waving his flag in the stands. "Kyle must have been trying to fool that Kneazle! Look, it fell for it!"
"Go! Run faster!" George shouted at the top of his lungs.
Finally, Kyle arrived at the door and decisively inserted the key into the lock.
The Kneazle behind him slashed three long gashes across his robe with its claw.
"Snap!"
At that moment, the door was opened.
Kyle opened the door and stepped through with one foot.
In an instant, everything around seemed to suddenly spin.
The Kneazle behind me has vanished, and so has the door...
Like a jigsaw puzzle piece that has been shattered and then pieced back together, the vast Quidditch Pitch is constantly stretching outwards, expanding, and becoming even larger than before.
Then, the ground beneath our feet began to collapse, starting from the furthest point and gradually getting closer.
Soon, except for a foot or so around Kyle that remained intact, there was nowhere left to stand; he was as if he were standing on the edge of a towering cliff.
The spectators in the stands, like him, gasped in shock upon seeing the collapsed ground, but then cheered excitedly.
A golden point of light was flashing below the cliff. In the blink of an eye, it appeared before everyone. Because it was moving so fast, it seemed to leave a golden trail behind it, which was extremely beautiful.
"Oh, the Golden Snitch!" someone shouted from the stands.
"No!" Cedric looked away from the Omnioculars and said with equal excitement, "The Golden Snitch doesn't have a long beak. It's the Golden Snidget, a rare species protected by the Wizarding World, whose trade is prohibited by all countries."
"It's worth mentioning that the Golden Snitch was created to replace it."
"Oh... look, Bludger!"
After the Golden Snidget, a round, Bludger also flew into the air.
George was so excited he jumped up from his seat. "Are they planning to host a Quidditch here? It would be really interesting to watch a Triwizard Tournament game."
George guessed correctly, but only partially.
Because Quidditch Match requires three types of balls, but there are only two types on the field at this moment: one Golden Snidget and... twenty-nine restless, Bludger.
