The Final Trial, Dragon
On the other side of the field, with the help of the Firebolt, Kyle quickly spotted a golden shadow among the Bludger.
Golden Snidget hovered near the stands, his round head topped with a pair of bright black eyes that curiously observed Kyle.
When it saw Kyle flying towards it, it remembered to keep running, but by then it was too late.
The Firebolt's greatest advantage is its agile turning and its rapid acceleration in a short time. Even with the Bludger constantly interfering, Kyle still managed to reach it from behind before the Golden Snidget disappeared again and gently grasped it.
The little thing was fluffy, like a warm dandelion, and it felt quite nice to the touch. And after being caught, it didn't struggle; it just lay obediently in Kyle's palm, tilting its head to look at him.
"Pfft... Pfft..."
The moment Kyle caught the Golden Snidget, the Bludger behind him turned into dust one after another and vanished in mid-air.
After one of the Bludger dissipated, it revealed a Winky red gem inside. Kyle quickly flew over and caught it with his other hand.
The gem was about the size of an egg, dark red, and in both size and color, it was very similar to the Philosopher's Stone that was originally hidden in Hogwarts.
This should be the red stone Bagman mentioned earlier, but we still don't know what it's used for.
Immediately afterward, before Kyle could even put the stone away, the surrounding scenery changed once again.
The last remaining piste also disappeared, and he felt the entire Quidditch Pitch begin to spin, the people in the stands getting smaller and smaller, as if the whole space was constantly expanding.
The ground reappeared, but Kyle did not choose to land; instead, he continued to grip the Firebolt tightly.
He heard a series of booming sounds, and in the blink of an eye, a towering mountain rose from the ground, instantly filling the entire Quidditch Pitch.
Then came two piercing roars.
These were the Swedish Short-Snout and the Hungarian Horntail that Kyle had seen before; they were both here, towering atop the mountain.
"What's going on?!" Kyle exclaimed in disbelief.
Why are there two dragons here? Could it be that whoever reaches the third level first will win the grand prize?
What are the challenges for the remaining two people...?
Kyle felt his mind was in a complete mess, unable to figure out what was going on.
Upon seeing the Dragon, the atmosphere at the entire Quidditch Pitch reached an unprecedented level.
Just then, the Hungarian Horntail seemed startled by the sudden cheers around it and spewed a forty-foot-long flame toward the stands.
"Ah!" The cheers turned into screams of agony.
The students facing the flames were terrified and scrambled to escape.
But soon some people noticed that the flames didn't seem to reach the stands... or rather, the distance between them and the Dragon was much greater than it appeared.
"Don't worry, everyone," Bagman said. "The stands are safe, please go back to your seats... I really didn't expect this to happen. The Hogwarts Champion have made it to the final stage with an overwhelming advantage."
"Alright, there's something I must tell you in advance: the final third level is a shared challenge for all the Champion, meaning the other two Champion will also eventually reach this point."
If you can find all three red stones, you'll pass this final stage. So... good luck!
A common level for all Champion?
Kyle suddenly realized, no wonder. It would be too difficult for him to deal with two Dragon all by himself.
He jumped off the Firebolt and, before Phoebe and Krum arrived, looked up at the two Dragon towering on the mountain peak.
He finally knew what was inside the box he had seen that day.
Fire Ash Stone.
A stone with dark red stripes, originally a very dense ore, was formed after being roasted by dragon flames for a long time, and can continuously radiate high temperatures.
This is also what Dragon like the most. They usually collect Fire Ash Stone and put them in their nests. Most of the dragon eggs are hatched in these stones.
It's worth mentioning that the name of the Fantastic Beasts known to most wizards Ashwinder, comes from this stone.
These Fire Ash Stone are now piled up on the mountaintop, right beneath the Dragon.
In addition, the red stone he needed to pass the level was also mixed in.
The condition for passing this level is to collect three red stones.
There was none in the first level, but there was one in the second level... or perhaps there was one in the first level, but he just didn't notice it.
But regardless, Kyle now needs to find a way to get two more to pass this final hurdle.
But what to do... Kyle frowned.
Dragon are inherently temperamental creatures, and as the first Champion to reach the third level, most people are definitely watching this place now.
This makes it seem unlikely that he can get through the "transaction" without attracting attention.
Kyle for a moment, seemingly understanding the meaning of the third level.
Three people and two dragons. This means that as long as two people are willing to lure the Dragon away, the remaining people can easily get the stones needed to pass the level.
However, the decision of who will lure away the Dragon and who will collect the stones is up to the Champion themselves... They can either work together harmoniously, with one person taking all the stones and then dividing them equally, or they can take turns luring away the Dragon... In short, it all depends on their abilities. As long as they find the right method, passing this level is quite simple.
But all of this is based on the premise that all three Champion are here; it definitely won't work if Kyle is the only one.
"Should we wait for them?" Kyle hesitated. If he waited for Phoebe and Krum, he would lose the time advantage he had gained in the first two levels.
But if he doesn't wait, he'll have to face two Dragon alone.
Kyle hesitated for a moment, then subconsciously took a step forward.
"Splash..."
Several stones rolled down from his feet.
Although the sound wasn't loud, the Swedish Short-Snout still heard it. It stood up, its dark golden vertical pupils turning slightly as it looked in the direction where Kyle was.
Okay, you don't need to think about it anymore.
Without hesitation, Kyle leaped onto the Firebolt and sprang out.
A roar came from behind him, and Kyle felt his back getting hotter and hotter. He instinctively bent down and dodged a blazing flame.
Kyle glanced back briefly.
The Swedish Short-Snout had caught up. Whether it was lucky or not, the Hungarian Horntail didn't move, but its head kept following Kyle's movements, as if it were guarding its home.
This would reduce Kyle's pressure considerably, but at the same time, he wouldn't be able to use the speed of the Firebolt to turn back and get the stone.
A less-than-successful attempt.
Kyle shook his head, made a turn in the air, and prepared to shake off the big guy behind him.
But as they flew past each other, Kyle suddenly noticed a long scar near the wing of the Swedish Short-Snout, a scar that couldn't be covered by scales.
This is a very rare occurrence, since no animal can leave a scar on Dragon... unless the other party is also Dragon.
Moreover, the location of that scar looked somewhat familiar to him.
Could it be...?
Kyle immediately remembered that he seemed to have seen this Swedish Short-Snout before in the Dragon Sanctuary, but the guy had been beaten up pretty badly back then, and it was Kyle and Newt who helped treat his injuries.
One of the wounds was near his wing, where he had secretly taken half a bottle of dragon blood, so it left a deep impression on him.
