The day after the school year banquet ended was also the official start of Hogwarts' holiday.

Kyle and the others arrived at the platform, ready to board the train back home.

Ladon perched on his shoulder like a bully, giving a glance to any owl that passed by.

Perhaps because Kyle always fed it dragon liver every few days, Ladon grew even bigger, looking like a little monster.

This also resulted in chaos wherever Kyle went, because any owl he stared at would let out a piercing scream and flutter back and forth in its cage.

Even the autumn owl was not spared.

"Hey, Kyle, can't you do something about it?" Qiu said to Kyle while soothing the owl in her cage. "Seiya has already been frightened three times on this journey."

"Sorry, but Ladon doesn't like being in a cage."

Kyle shrugged, and the giant owl immediately spread its wings and flew toward the train.

To accommodate certain individuals, they did not travel in the more spacious and comfortable Prefect compartments this time, but instead chose a regular carriage.

As soon as he sat down, Cedric complained in an exaggerated voice, "Oh... these seats are so hard."

Fred and George's faces immediately darkened.

They knew perfectly well what Cedric meant.

"I'm so sorry..." Fred said, drawing out his words, "We didn't get to become Prefect ... which forced you to come to the regular boxes."

"If you don't mind," George said, deftly taking off his robe, folding it twice, and placing it on an empty seat, "How about sitting here? It's not as comfortable as a velvet cushion, but it should be nice too."

"I think you've misunderstood," Cedric said with a sly grin. "I was just complaining about the facilities on the Hogwarts Express, it has nothing to do with you."

"Of course, if you haven't put Biting Ball in your robe, I wouldn't mind making myself more comfortable."

He had just seen George stuff something that looked like a cushion into his robe while he was folding it.

That's one of Zonko's's old joke props; whenever someone sits on it, it turns into a ball with sharp teeth, and getting bitten by it really hurts.

"Tsk..."

Seeing that Cedric hadn't fallen for it, George curled his lip and put his robe away again.

"You're not the same person you used to be, Cedric," Fred said with a pained expression. "Even we wouldn't say something so hurtful."

"I don't think so." Cedric raised an eyebrow. "If I weren't the Prefect today, you would all say the same thing."

"I assure you, it won't," George said earnestly.

"Because we'll start making fun of you the moment we leave the castle," Fred said with a grin.

Shortly after they were seated, the train started moving and headed toward King's Cross Station with a whistle.

Unlike the rainy weather we had on our way here, the sky outside the car window was cloudless, and the bright sunshine felt warm and comforting.

It's strange, but it seems to be the same every year: it's always rainy when school starts, but the weather is completely different when school starts.

As the group sat in the carriage, the conversation naturally turned to what Dumbledore had said at the banquet the previous night.

The impact of those words was undoubtedly enormous; even inside the private room, they could hear words like "Dumbledore" and "madman" coming from outside from time to time.

It seems most people thought he was a crazy old man who was spouting nonsense.

"Do you think the headmaster ever imagined things would turn out this way?" Fred said. "It seems like not many people choose to believe him."

"I guess he must have known," Kyle said. "But what he wanted wasn't for everyone to believe him, and that's unrealistic. He just wanted everyone to be prepared so that when that day actually came, they wouldn't panic and lose their composure."

"Maybe," George shrugged, neither confirming nor denying.

Then they speculated about what Dumbledore would do during the holidays to stop Voldemort, and by noon the corridors were getting increasingly noisy.

The feud between Gryffindor and Slytherin seems far from over, and it continues to this day. Kyle can hear arguing every now and then, and this time, people from other houses have joined in.

The content is also related to Dumbledore.

Almost all Slytherin thought Dumbledore insane and mocked him vehemently in the boxes and corridors.

Some students were immediately unhappy upon hearing this and began arguing with them, which gradually escalated into a quarrel.

Left with no other option, the Prefect had to leave the private room and go to the corridor to maintain order.

Fred and George weren't idle either; they went to find Harry to find out who the Death Eaters were that night.

The rest of the journey was somewhat monotonous as the train carried them south. Outside the window, the hills and forests became fewer and fewer, and they gradually came into view of villages, which meant the train was about to arrive at its destination.

At this moment, Kyle and the others returned to the carriage.

Fred and George were already there, along with Harry, Hermione, and Ron; they were playing Exploding Snap.

When Kyle came in, Harry's cards had just exploded, his hair stood on end, and smoke was still rising from his head.

Harry quickly ran his hand through his hair, stood up, and said, "Kyle, I was just looking for you."

"Is there something you need?" Kyle asked.

He thought Harry was going to talk about what happened that night, but instead he said someone else's name.

"Sirius, do you know where his home is?" Harry said. "I remember him mentioning that you've been there."

"I did go," Kyle nodded. "Strange, didn't he tell you?"

"I think he mentioned last semester that he wanted to bring you over."

"That's right." Harry sighed. "We had agreed that I could stay with him during the holidays this year, but just yesterday, when I went to ask him for the address, he changed his mind!"

"Go back on your word? That's impossible..." Kyle, somewhat puzzled.

Sirius was eager to live with Harry, and had even arranged a job for him after graduation. How could he possibly back out?

"That's true," Harry said quietly. "He said this year is dangerous and that I should stay at the Dursley family ... but he also said before that even if Voldemort came, he could guarantee my safety."

"Hmm... just take that with a grain of salt, he's bragging." Kyle bluntly exposed Sirius's attempt to put on a brave face.

If they were truly facing Voldemort, Sirius would probably only be able to risk his life to buy Harry time to escape.

"So..." Kyle continued, "You're planning to go find him yourself?"

Harry nodded. "Yes."

"I think he probably has something to do." Kyle thought of Sirius's sudden disappearance for a while a few days before the holidays.

I imagine he has other things to do during this holiday. Without me by his side to protect him, Harry is safer staying at his aunt and uncle's house.

Because Lily Evans ' protective charm didn't disappear, but this protective charm only works when Harry is Dursley family.
