As one of the oldest families in the Wizarding World, the House of Black does indeed have a large collection of books, accumulated over generations.

Furthermore, there are rumors that during Phineas Black's tenure as Hogwarts Headmaster, many of the school's most valuable books were lost from the library, most likely taken by him and stored at the House of Black.

However, Phineas himself does not admit to doing such a thing, and has had many verbal battles with other portraits over it.

Of course, these are all things from hundreds of years ago, and it's impossible to verify whether they are true or false.

Led by the House-elf Kreacher, the two passed through the Entrance Hall and kitchen, heading towards the basement behind the storage cabinets.

On the way, they also encountered a trio discussing their holiday homework, as well as Lupin, who were equally interested in the House of Black's library and wanted to come along to take a look.

Sirius naturally agreed. Although Kreacher was very reluctant for Hermione, Muggle-born wizard, to set foot in the most important place in the House of Black, he could only mutter to himself and reluctantly continue leading the way since Sirius and Kyle had both agreed.

The group arrived at the dark and damp basement. Kreacher fiddled with the fireplace for a while, and the moldy cabinet in the corner immediately sprang open, revealing a wide passageway behind it.

As they entered, torches on both sides of the passage lit up simultaneously.

"This is incredible! I never imagined there was such a secluded place here," Harry exclaimed. "It feels like an adventure."

"That's normal," Ron said. "After all, the House of Black has been around for hundreds of years."

The corridor wasn't long, and soon they arrived at a large room.

Unlike the basement, there wasn't a trace of moldy smell here, and there wasn't even a speck of dust.

Bright sunlight streamed in through the enchanted windows, illuminating the room. They could clearly see the nearly one hundred bookshelves, crammed full of all sorts of books.

Although it's not as grand as a school library, it's still quite remarkable considering it's in someone's home.

"Oh my god!" Hermione exclaimed instinctively, "You guys actually built a library in your house!"

"This place is absolutely amazing," Lupin couldn't help but say. "Sirius, why didn't you ever tell me there was a library here?"

He had lived here for a long time, but Sirius had never mentioned it before.

Sirius blushed slightly, because he didn't know there was such a place in his house.

He had moved out of this house when he was sixteen and only returned recently.

As for before the age of sixteen.

Who would read books when they're home for vacation...? Maybe someone would, but that person is definitely not him.

However, he couldn't bring himself to say such things when facing Lupin and Harry, and could only stammer:

"Hmm, I forgot. You know, after twelve years in Azkaban, I can't remember a lot of things."

"No wonder," Lupin said.

He had no doubts, because spending a long time with Dementor could indeed make one forget many things.

Hermione couldn't help but take a step forward.

Upon seeing this, Kreacher nearly jumped up like a cat whose tail had been stepped on.

"Get your feet off the floor, you..."

"Kreacher, can you do me a favor?" Before he could finish speaking, Kyle's voice came from beside him.

Kreacher's attitude changed drastically in an instant, and he said respectfully, "It would be my pleasure to serve you, Master Kyle."

"How about you find me a few books?" Kyle asked. "I think you're quite familiar with this place."

"Kreacher knows where every single book here is," the House-elf assured, patting his chest.

"That's good." Kyle glanced back, and after confirming that no one else was paying attention, he bent down and whispered something in the ear of the House-elf.

He then asked, "Do you have these books?"

"Yes." Kreacher nodded and immediately ran towards the furthest bookshelf.

As soon as he left, Hermione, who had been startled earlier, mustered her courage and entered the library, accompanied by Lupin.

She went to the nearest bookshelf and browsed the books with great interest.

Unlike the school library, the books here are clearly not selected at all.

Some books that require a professor's signature to borrow from the school's Restricted Section are openly displayed on the shelves here, and she can easily take them down.

Hermione's face flushed with excitement, making her look like a Niffler who had wandered into Gringotts.

A short while later, Kreacher returned.

Upon seeing a Werewolf and Muggle-born wizard break into the library, he immediately prepared to retaliate and drive them out.

But Sirius stopped him the next second.

"This is my permission, Kreacher," he said. "Don't disturb them, that's an order!"

Reluctantly, Kreacher could only bow and agree.

He didn't look at Lupin and Hermione again, but went to Kyle and handed him a thick stack of books as if presenting a treasure.

"Thank you, Kreacher," Kyle said, taking the book from him.

"It is Kreacher's honor," said the House-elf. "If Master Kyle needs anything else, please tell Kreacher."

"Not for now," Kyle said.

Kreacher brought him five books in total, and Kyle placed them on a nearby table and began to read them.

The book on top had a drawing of a magic wand with clearly defined joints.

The Secret of the Wand

Further down,

<Broken Wand: A Restraint or a Help>

The next two books are also related to magic wands.

This surprise interrogation by the Ministry of Magic served as a wake-up call for Kyle. Just to be on the safe side, he wanted to know what kind of magic Diana had used before that could undo the Prior Incantato.

However, Diana returned to the Department of Mysteries afterward, so she definitely wouldn't be able to teach him in a short time. Therefore, Kyle wanted to see if it was in the book.

He had just told Kreacher that he needed books about wands, and Kreacher brought him these.

But there was no rush. The Ministry of Magic wouldn't bother him again anytime soon. After looking through them for a while, Kyle put them aside and picked up the bottom one, which was also the last one.

It's a book with a brown cover and a faded purple stripe around the edge. Its name is written in the center.

<Magick Moste Evile>

Kyle glanced at it, then immediately covered it with another book while taking a few deep breaths.

He had wondered before whether this book, which was originally in the library and was later taken away by Dumbledore, might also exist elsewhere.

Nicolas might have them in the library in Paris, but there are magical restrictions there too, and he can't take down some books about Dark Magic.

Kyle had originally planned to ask Nicolas later, but when Mr. Weasley invited him to 12 Grimmauld Place, a question suddenly occurred to him.

As Pure-blood families that has been passed down for hundreds of years, they must have a few books related to Dark Magic in their collection.

So he just asked around, hoping it would work, and to his surprise, they actually had it here.
