Harry's Decision
In the middle of the night in Hogsmeade, a shrill laugh echoed from the Hog's Head Inn, the sound filled with schadenfreude.
Then, Dumbledore walked out of the bar with a troubled look on his face, looking as if he had drunk expired Butterbeer.
"Kyle, does it really have to be this way?"
He looked at Kyle beside him and said carefully, "In fact, Voldemort needs time to recover, so we don't need to rush to solve the Ministry of Magic's problems."
"I believe you will be able to develop a more suitable plan during this time."
"Thank you for your compliment, Professor," Kyle said calmly. "Yes, I have a backup plan."
"Tell me about it." Dumbledore's eyes lit up.
"What if the Dementor suddenly rioted and attacked the Ministry of Magic?" Kyle said in a serious tone, "And then, coincidentally, one or two of them just happened to barge into the Minister's Office and even had a friendly chat with the Minister."
"This way, we can solve the problem of some people holding us back, and at the same time, we can also make everyone pay more attention to Dementor. It's a win-win situation."
Dumbledore turned his head, remained silent for a long time, and then said with a complicated expression, "The Dementor won't riot, at least not now."
"I didn't say they would definitely riot," Kyle shrugged. "I was just offering a possibility."
Dumbledore silent, continuing to walk until they reached the entrance of the Zonko's Joke Shop. He finally spoke again, his voice sounding somewhat hoarse, "Creating a false impression, huh? I know... but I've never done anything like that, and I can't guarantee Fudge will believe me..."
"It's alright, Professor," Kyle chuckled. "It's not difficult. You just need to make contact with a few directors occasionally, like Ms. Amelia Bones from the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, or Mr. Barty Crouch, either way..."
Given Fudge's personality, he certainly wouldn't remain indifferent.
Dumbledore opened his mouth as if he wanted to say something, but in the end he silently shook his head.
He felt a pang of regret. If only he had gone all out back on the mountaintop and killed Voldemort again, regardless of the cost.
The two walked a little further when Kyle, who was deep in thought, suddenly felt his arm being grabbed.
Then, in a dizzying rush, he was taken to the Entrance Hall of 12 Grimmauld Place.
Mrs. Weasley was startled by the sudden appearance of the two people and almost dropped the plate she was holding.
But she quickly realized what was happening.
No one but Dumbledore could Apparition from the outside into a house protected by the Fidelius Charm.
Of course, Fred and George don't count; they Apparition inside the house, not outside.
"You..."
Before she could finish speaking, another crisp sound rang out.
After bringing Kyle back, Dumbledore didn't stay a second longer before leaving again.
"What's wrong with Dumbledore?" Mrs. Weasley asked, puzzled. "He looks rather pale."
"He must be hungry," Kyle said. "After all, he hasn't eaten much all day."
"Oh, Merlin's beard, have you been busy all day?" Mrs. Weasley quickly pulled Kyle into the kitchen, muttering, "Dumbledore, really, why didn't you stay for a meal before you left?"
"Maybe he has something else on his mind," Kyle said casually.
"We still need to eat," said Mrs. Weasley. "Wait a moment, dinner will be ready soon."
Kyle nodded.
To be honest, he was a little hungry too.
Although Hog's Head Inn provided a reasonably clean lunch, the taste was really not good; the potatoes were undercooked and still hard inside.
There weren't many people in the kitchen at the time, but a few minutes later, people started coming in one after another.
"Kyle ...when did you get back?" Ron couldn't help but ask, "Where did you go today?"
"Hogsmeade," Kyle said.
"What are you doing there?" Ron was about to ask again, but Mr. Weasley interrupted him.
"Alright, Ron," he said, coming up from behind. "Dumbledore must have told him not to tell anyone, so don't ask so many questions."
"Okay," Ron muttered.
Ten minutes later, Mrs. Weasley brought in a whole roast chicken and fried fish.
But there weren't many people here for dinner tonight, only Tonks and Moody. Tonks looked listless, and his hair had turned a dry, straw-like yellow.
Because of her Auror missions these past few days, she hadn't slept for two days, and with it being her turn to keep watch today, her mood was naturally not good.
Lupin noticed this too, and after thinking for a moment, he said, "Tonks, you should go and rest after dinner. I can take your place today."
"Really?" Tonks's hair quickly turned a bright red, but then she remembered something. "But you were on watch yesterday, right? Are you sure you're okay with two nights in a row?"
"I'm fine," Lupin said. "Anyway, I can rest for a while during the day."
"Thank you for your help." Tonks yawned widely. "I'm exhausted these past few days."
"It's alright," Lupin said.
For the next few days, Kyle continued as usual, spending his time in the library.
Until the day before school started.
"Are you going back?"
In the kitchen, Mrs. Weasley couldn't help but ask, "Is it Dumbledore wants to see you again?"
The others also instinctively looked over.
"No." Kyle shook his head. "I haven't seen him recently."
"Can't we stay another day?" Mrs. Weasley said. "Sirius can take you both to King's Cross Station tomorrow morning."
"No," Kyle said. "I came here from the Ministry of Magic. My holiday homework and books are still at home. School starts tomorrow, so I have to go back and bring them with me."
Hearing Kyle say that, Mrs. Weasley understood; if it was homework and textbooks, then they should indeed be taken back to school.
So after breakfast, Mrs. Weasley took Kyle to a street in front of Grimmauld Place.
Mr. Weasley was already waiting here in his car.
"Come on up, I'll take you back to the village," he said.
"No need, Mr. Weasley," Kyle said. "I can go back by myself."
"That won't do. The distance from Grimmauld Place to Ottery St. Catchpole isn't short." Mrs. Weasley shook her head. "Besides, these are special times. None of us know where the Death Eaters are hiding. What if you're attacked on the way?"
"They won't have that chance." Kyle smiled, opened the car door, and got in. "By the way, remember to keep it a secret."
With a crisp sound, Kyle, using the car as cover, vanished from the spot in an instant.
This scene was witnessed by the other people in the house.
For safety's sake, Mrs. Weasley didn't allow everyone to go outside, so they could only look out the window.
And coincidentally, from their position, they could see exactly what was happening inside the car.
"Apparition?" Ron couldn't help but say, "Kyle only started sixth grade this year, and he already knows this?"
"Only you think he wouldn't," Hermione said bluntly.
Harry nodded in agreement. "I bet he already knew that magic a long time ago."
"That was true at least a year ago," Sirius added. "I saw him use it around this time last year, and he was very skilled at it."
"Last year," Ron said, "That was when he was just in fifth grade..."
"That's right, when he was your age, he was already skilled at Apparition," Sirius said.
Perhaps realizing that his words might have been a bit discouraging for Harry and his friends, he quickly added, "Of course, you are all quite outstanding among your peers."
"No wonder Professor Dumbledore only took him to Hogsmeade," Harry said quietly.
Then he turned to Sirius and asked, "Sirius, can you teach us Apparition?"
Ron and Hermione also looked over, their eyes filled with hope.
"Is that okay? We'd like to learn too."
"Learning Apparition is dangerous," Sirius said. "According to the rules, you're not allowed to learn Apparition before sixth grade."
"Please," Harry said, his eyes fixed on him.
"Don't look at me like that..." Sirius hesitated for a moment, then gave in. "Oh, okay, I agree, but remember, don't tell anyone, especially Remus."
"We promise!" the three said in unison.
"When are you going to teach us?" Harry then asked.
"It's too late now," Sirius thought for a moment. "How about we wait until school starts, the weekend, or the Christmas holidays?"
"No problem."
