"Malfoy, you bastard!"

Harry and Ron had no idea what had happened, nor did they see anything wrong with the package. Seeing Hermione nearly get shoved over, they immediately marched over, ready to teach Malfoy a lesson.

With the two hulking lackeys usually at Malfoy's side absent, it was two against one. Their odds were good.

But before they had even taken two steps, an enormous force shoved them back.

"Stay where you are!" Tonks shouted from nearby, her wand still raised.

But Harry quickly understood why she had done it.

Soaked through by the rain, the brown-paper package broke apart the moment it hit the ground, and what was inside landed right on Katie Bell's shoe.

In an instant, Katie flew uncontrollably into the air, looking utterly bizarre... her arms stretched straight out, her hair whipped wildly about by a fierce wind, while her eyes remained tightly shut and her face completely expressionless.

Soon, her eyes snapped open. As if suffering unimaginable pain, she began screaming at the top of her lungs.

"I'll get a professor!" Hermione immediately turned to run back to the school.

But at that moment...

"Finite Incantatem!"

At the shout, Harry instinctively turned his head. He saw a layer of orange light suddenly appear around Kyle's wand, before Kyle drove it forcefully into the stone-covered path.

The hard stones seemed as fragile as freshly fried potato crisps beneath the orange-glowing wand, easily pierced through.

A faint layer of golden flame seemed to spread outward. When it touched Katie in midair, a layer of black smoke appeared around her out of nowhere, only to be swiftly burned away by the golden flames.

The screaming stopped abruptly.

The unconscious Katie fell from the air, and Tonks caught her.

By then, a small crowd had heard the commotion
