Hagrid's Request

After the start-of-term feast, Dumbledore returned to give Harry his weekly memory lesson.

But by the time Kyle received the message from a portrait and went to find him, the lesson had already ended, and Dumbledore had left the school again. Only Harry remained in the office, having just watched a memory and not yet fully recovered his senses.

"Kyle, are you here to see Professor Dumbledore too?" Harry asked. "He just got a message through the fireplace saying that a Dark Mark had appeared somewhere, so he hurried off."

"Ah, it's fine," Kyle said. "It wasn't anything important anyway. I'll talk to him when he has time."

After making two wasted trips in a row, Kyle was no longer as concerned about it as he had been at first. The Time-Turner was in his hands anyway; if Dumbledore needed it, he would naturally come looking for him.

The two of them left the Headmaster's Office together.

When they reached the corridor outside, Harry turned to look at Kyle beside him, his lips moving slightly. "Kyle, you..."

But then he suddenly fell silent.

"What is it?" Kyle asked curiously.

"Nothing, nothing." Harry shook his head.

Because Dumbledore had been called away unexpectedly and left right after showing him the memory, Harry had accumulated a great many questions. He needed someone to talk to and share them with...

Kyle was certainly a good choice. He was clever, knew a lot, and had even personally taken part in several secret plans.

But that was precisely why Harry found it difficult to see him as a peer. He would rather discuss these things with Ron or Hermione.
