By the time Kyle came out of the Headmaster's Office, it was already afternoon. The weather was still gloomy, and the endless rain showed no sign of stopping.
Kyle stood in the eighth-floor corridor for a while, staring blankly at the curtain-like sheet of rain outside.
He was very curious about what disagreement had arisen between Dumbledore and Snape. Was it because of Draco Malfoy's recent actions?
Or did it have something to do with Kanna? Or perhaps... Snape was tired of living as a double agent between Hogwarts and the Death Eaters and wanted to return to a normal life?
All of those were possible.
But no matter which it was, one thing was certain: he had not received Dumbledore's support. Otherwise, the two of them would not have become so angry.
Still, Kyle guessed it was most likely Malfoy. After all, he was the one causing the biggest stir lately...
As for Kanna... honestly, unless Dumbledore wanted her to join the Order of the Phoenix and Snape firmly opposed it, she could make her own decisions about anything else.
Besides, Kyle did not think Dumbledore would insist on having a newly graduated witch join the Order of the Phoenix. There was no need for it.
As for returning to the life of an ordinary wizard... before Voldemort's threat was completely dealt with, that was probably nothing more than a beautiful dream for Snape. He could think about it, but that was all.
