"Impersonate Dumbledore?"

"I'm not doing it!"

In the compartment, Kyle swiftly tossed the envelope to Professor McGonagall, all the while grumbling inwardly about which genius had come up with such a terrible idea.

Impersonating Dumbledore—they really dared to think of that. What if the Death Eaters suddenly attacked Hogwarts? Though the chances of that happening were slim, they weren't nonexistent.

After all, Voldemort had already obtained the Elder Wand. What if his confidence swelled and he decided to launch the final battle outright? Dumbledore would definitely be the first person Voldemort came looking for. Wouldn't that mean Kyle was finished?

And even setting that aside, if the Death Eaters didn't attack Hogwarts but someone saw through his disguise while he was pretending to be Dumbledore, that would still be humiliating enough.

At that thought, Kyle almost wanted to open the window and jump out to make his escape.

"Don't be so quick to refuse." Professor McGonagall placed the letter back on the table.

"Dumbledore specifically assigned this task to you, which means he believes you can do it well. Besides, you're the most suitable person for it."

"No, no, no. I think you could do it too, Professor McGonagall." Kyle refused again.

"I can't." Professor McGonagall shook her head. "I still have classes to teach. And I have to attend the start-of-term feast, so I simply don't have the time."

"They're all the same." Professor McGonagall interrupted Kyle. "Every professor at Hogwarts is unsuitable for this task."

"What about Sirius, then?" Kyle immediately thought of someone outside the school. "He seems pretty free all day. He said he'd teach Harry Animagus transformation, but there's been no progress so far."
