A Trip to France

"What? You're going to France?" The moment Kyle said it, everyone at the table turned to look at him in unison.

"Yeah." Kyle nodded. "What's wrong? Is there a problem?"

"No, not really." Chris shook his head. Just as he was about to say something, a sound like an explosion suddenly interrupted him.

"Mum, we're back!"

Bill and Charlie walked in from the garden.

"Kyle's here too. Long time no see." Charlie waved.

"Long time no see." Kyle waved his wand, turning the stones beside him into two chairs.

"Thanks." After sitting down, the two asked, "What were you talking about just now?"

"Some plans for what comes next," Kyle said. "I'm planning to take a trip to France."

"To find Kanna?"

No wonder Bill was a Weasley with twelve certificates. He had practically guessed Kyle's intentions at once.

At his words, everyone else immediately realized it too... Right, Kanna was in France right now. It was perfectly understandable that Kyle wanted to go there.

"Yeah."

Kyle did not deny it. He nodded and said, "There's nothing much going on right now, so I still have some time."

Ever since the incident at Godric's Hollow, the Death Eaters had made no major moves. Though no one knew what they were plotting, worrying about it would do no good. He might as well use this stretch of calm to take care of his own affairs.

There was also Hogwarts. Professor McGonagall had made her meaning perfectly clear: if Dumbledore had not returned by Halloween, Kyle would have to show his face there again.

But it was only early September. Halloween was still a long way off.
