"What was going on? Nothing?"
In Diagon Alley, Kyle asked three times, but Dobby's answer was always that he didn't know.
He had not seen anyone deliver any Galleons. Forget Galleons—even a single Knut had not arrived.
"That's strange." Kyle sat behind the counter.
Snape had said he'd already sent the Galleons over, but Dobby insisted that nothing had been received. And neither of them should have been lying.
But where had the Galleons gone...? They couldn't have vanished into thin air, could they?
Just then, an owl suddenly flew in from outside and dropped a letter onto the table.
"A letter from Romania?" Coming back to his senses, Kyle glanced down at the envelope, then opened it and pulled out a piece of parchment.
Dear Kyle:
Regarding the matter we discussed earlier, I'm sorry for the long delay. The goblins kept stalling and refused to transfer the vault that should have belonged to them. (Those greedy bastards—it was obviously our gold.)
Interestingly, their kind is just as greedy. The goblins from England arrived. Although they were a little late, it was finally settled. I hope you haven't been waiting too anxiously.
Your new vault is Vault 166 at Gringotts in England. The key is enclosed with this letter. We will also deposit the Galleons into that vault afterward.
(Personally, while Gringotts is convenient, I still think it is safer to keep Galleons in your own hands. Those goblins are not trustworthy.)
Yours faithfully, Drols Blat
The letter had come from the Dragon Sanctuary. It also included a golden key, which should have been the key to the Gringotts vault.
Kyle excitedly held the key in his hand. There were more than 6,300 Galleons—after waiting so long, they had finally arrived.
At that moment, Professor Snape was completely forgotten...
