When Fred and George found Kyle in the entrance hall, he was busy searching for the younger students.
No one knew who had leaked the news, but before the students had even evacuated, they had already heard the rumor that Voldemort was coming to Hogwarts.

After that, the Astronomy professor would take them to Hogsmeade.
