Han Ming didn't know much about either of them, so he asked Li Mo for his opinion. "In your view, who should we choose?"
"Shen Lin has a slightly higher talent for both archery and martial arts than Hong Ming. But during the fish tide, he rarely practiced his fists and spent most of his time practicing archery. I doubt his fist techniques have improved much."
Li Mo laid out what he knew about them one by one, starting with Shen Lin, then moving on to Hong Ming.
"As for Hong Ming, his talent may be lacking, but he's persistent and hasn't neglected his fist techniques. He makes time to practice every day."
By then, Han Ming had reached an answer. "So you mean we should send Hong Ming?"
"No! We should still send Shen Lin. It's true that diligence can make up for a lack of talent, but there's too little time. It may not be enough to overcome the gap."
To Han Ming's surprise, Li Mo shook his head and rejected the idea, voicing his concerns.
After a pause, Li Mo added, "Perhaps I should bring them both here first, then let you make the final decision?"
