The Great Sage's Trace, Eastern Emperor Taiyi, and the Coming War!

Li Beichen stood before Zhenyuanzi and Dipper Mother Primordial Lord. Though he had attained Great Luo and had cultivated for tens of thousands of years, before these two ancient powers he was a junior through and through.

Their years of existence could no longer be counted in years. Calamities were the only measure that would do.

Li Beichen had never imagined that beings so ancient and powerful would be guarding Yang Pass.

But he soon understood: if a place needed beings like them to hold it, how powerful must the enemies it faced be?

After meeting Dipper Mother Primordial Lord and Immortal Zhenyuan, Yang Jian introduced Li Beichen to several other key figures stationed at Yang Pass.

On Heavenly Court's side stood Wang Lingguan, also a Quasi-Saint. He had guarded one flank of the great pass for years, his aura fierce as fire.

Pagoda-Bearing Heavenly King Li Jing was inside the pass as well. Light flowed across the treasured pagoda in his hand. Though he had not summoned its power, it already radiated a weighty force capable of subduing an entire region.

Several ancient lords of the stars were there too, each responsible for a section of the defenses.

Li Beichen even caught sight of Chang'e in the distance.

The fairy said to dwell in the Moon Palace had likewise reached Great Luo. She stood before a Beacon Tower at Yang Pass, her aura cold and concentrated.

On the Bliss Dharma Realm's side, Future Maitreya held one sector, commanding Buddhas and bodhisattvas of the ten directions in defense of a vast stretch of Yang Pass.

The Daoist tradition from which the Three Purities Disciples hailed had also gathered many experts here.

The Three Cloud Fairies—Yunxiao, Qiongxiao, and Bixiao—were among them. All three were Quasi-Saints, each commanding a formation.
