Just as Qian Qianqian opened her mouth to describe the college's current situation in detail, the "coffin lid" opened with a click. Qian Qianqian and Yin Kuang turned to look at the same time. Yet in that instant, a flicker of tension flashed through Qian Qianqian's eyes.
"Qian, I..."
A crisp, pleasant voice came from the doorway. But after only three words, it was as though her throat had been forcibly seized, leaving her unable to say another word.
A pair of star-bright eyes widened as they stared into the room, their gaze fixed on Yin Kuang. Yin Kuang, too, stared unblinkingly at the newcomer. Reflected in his dark, unfathomable eyes was a lovely figure.
Their gazes met. For a time, the room was silent enough for a pin to drop.
"Sister Tang..." Qian Qianqian said stiffly, breaking the dead silence in the room.
The newcomer was Tang Rouyu. A year had passed, yet Tang Rouyu still looked much as she once had. Time might be a butcher's knife to women, but sometimes it was also their most natural adornment. After the polishing of who knew how much time, Tang Rouyu was even more stunning at first sight. Some of her youthful brightness had faded, replaced by a touch of maturity. The faint, almost imperceptible sorrow between her brows only made others feel more tenderness toward her.
Joy, melancholy, heartache, confusion... a series of complicated emotions flickered through Tang Rouyu's eyes. In the end, however, they were all drowned by the moisture welling up within them.
Yin Kuang opened his mouth to speak. But without waiting for him, Tang Rouyu suddenly turned around. The tears gathering in her eyes flew out, tracing a crystalline arc through the air. Then Tang Rouyu vanished from the doorway.
"Sister Tang!" Qian Qianqian cried
